Zombie Tools knives Quality

Really, do any of us NEED all of the blades we buy? Do you need all of yours?

It's just a hobby. Some people just like to collect things that they find cool or interesting. Besides, it's not much different from buying and collecting non-hunting firearms. Most gun collectors like to know that their weapons are capable, even though they will likely NEVER shoot anyone with them.

What makes you think guns are just for shooting people with?

Going back on topic, the OP did specifically ask about the "quality" of these things. Since these things are marketed as zombie killing blades, what is he hoping to find out?

Agreed completely BryFry. It's the same reason people buy those replica Rambo knives or replica Lord of the Rings swords too. It's not because they actually want to be those people and use those blades in the capacity they were in the movies, it's because they think they're cool. And to me the Zombie Tools blades look like they're geared towards those types of collectors and zombie lovers. But the fact that they are 5160 steel makes it look as if they could be useful tools as well. Someone needs to do a review on one of these blades and give the verdict.

Well, if you're not a hunter, then yeah you can shoot all kinds of things, like paper, cans, large fruit and whatever.

The same can be said about "usable" swords. Who says they're just for zombies? I know many a pumpkin and shrubbery has been slain by a few of my swords. :) It's just fun, simple as that.

Seems that you don't know the first thing about firearms.

Actually I grew up around firearms, learned to shoot when I was five. I've owned dozens.

Don't know why you want to make this personal, but I figure you might understand the sword thing better if you took the stick out of your ass.

Some people never will.

There are collectors, and there are fantasists. They are not the same. I like to think this forum is for people who want to collect and use real knives.

Plenty of forums for people who want to live in their fantasy worlds. This forum should not devolve to accommodate them.

Forum is an open place for people to express their personal likings.

If you have a problem with it then stay away from this thread and stop trolling back and forth making offensive comments.

Because you're opinion of what constitutes "real knives" is unquestionably veracious.

Take a step back and view this forum for what it is; a conglomeration of people who enjoy knives. ALL knives. Be they swords, balis, simple folders, tactilols, or zombie killing equipment. I think we can all respect one another and our different preferences in knives. No need to stake claim to a forum because you think there are other forums that better suit your narrow perception of someone's interests.

This forum is not to deride others. Remember, if you can't say anything nice, go tweet about it.
 
Hey guess what, not everyone is going to agree with you, deal with it.

And to the other guy, don't even start the want/need argument. It goes nowhere.

I use all of my knives everyday for a myriad of cutting tasks. If I'm not using it everyday or close to it I get rid of it.

Fantasy knives are terrible.
 
Dude, CWL's been on here since 2002. If he hasn't figured that out by now, I doubt he will. It takes all kinds. He's entitled to his opinion, as are we all. I just don't appreciate being beat over the head with it.
 
Just because other people are on this forum doesn't mean you need to accept them.

I will NEVER see the tactisexycool mall ninjas on here as knife people.

They are living a fantasy
 
Reason enough for me is their negative affect on the appearance of the knife community.

They make us all look bad, and the more people like that we have, the more likely we are to loss knife rights.

But this is besides the point, those knives are horribly overpriced.

I'm not making offensive comments. I am sharing my low opinion of these knives, their uselessness, and giving an opinion of the type of people who would gravitate towards them.

Once again, didn't the OP ask for opinions?
