Well, out of what I have at the moment, these are what I would take. That is, if I had some base camp to leave half of crap. I have short, med, and long rand taken care of. Knife wise, I guess you could take your pick of any of the Mistress', but the NMFBM or the CG would be my pick. The Killa Zilla might be the one I wanted, but I have never held one so I couldnt say for sure. I would also probably take a Laconico HWK as my belt knife.

I would take a medium length sword or machete. Most knives just arent heavy enough to really decapitate in one swing. Too light and you just end up cutting them. If you have a heavier blade and it doesnt go clean through thenn you have the weight transfering into them and making them fall or stumble etc.
As far as curved or straight I am not so sure. A Katan would be good for drawing cuts but maybe you want the hack ability of a straight edge. Maybe a simple hand and a half sword would work best. If its too long or heavy then it doesnt work fast or in close quarters. A Machete would be a good length I think, just need more weight..

As for firearms, are we assuming that tradition applies to only headshots killing zombies? Some zombie movies zombies are killed by body shots of average calibers.
The .22 makes sense though I would worry about lack of penetration. .223 would be good because it may go through and hit ombies behind. Both allow more ammo to be carried and can be shot longer diistance with the right guns but with rifles you have problems in close quarters. A handgun is easy to sight on someone and to reload.
Maybe one of those longer barreled glocks with the folding stocks and large magazines would be best, and a scope attached for longer distance shot.
The drum fed shotgun with buck shot or slugs would be hard to pass up and could be hip fired at close range.
If body shots worked just fine then I would probably go fo .40 S&W glock extended mag with laser and light.

A khukuri is the obvious choice;) Something around 18" OAL and designed to fight as well as be used as a tool. Probably the M-43 would be my first pick...and what is living next to my bed;)

Long arm: Man, as much as I love shotguns (both pump and break), I have to go with the .22lr here. My ol' Marlin 60 is a tough ol' bird. 15 rounds or so in a tube mag. As long as I stick to the higher ground, I should be able to plink zeds all day.

Side arm wise, well that's a toughie. It's nice having a magazine for fast reloads, but reloading magazines is in and of itself time consuming. Probably would have to go with a .357 revolver. You aren't going to pull this out until it's a last ditch effort, and a .357 to the face should take the fight out of any zombie. Even baring speed loaders, I can pop in 6 rounds quicker than I can thumb in several into an semi mag.

Easy..Ak-47 just because it's reliable, tough, and has great kill power! I'm not an AR hater, just don't like the thoughts if I am fighting the undead my Stoner rifle jams and I become zombie! :(

Knifewise, a Rat RC-5(cuz it's built like a tank) or a gurkah kurkri of some sort.

Like your thinking there. I was thinking either my Ruger Service Six .357 or a high cap .45, but I was thinking of slower reload time for revolvers, but loading clips takes a heck of a lot of time too.

Knife: Busse NMFBM
Primary weapon: Kriss .45ACP Submachine gun
Secondary weapon: CZ75 9mm with hi-capacity mags
Misc: VSS-Vintorez for longer distances and plenty of frag grenades for room clearing. Some RPGs would be handy too...

22lr is a horrible choice.

Limited range, limited kill power. Too many movies I have seen with twitchers. You need to disintegrate the brain, not injure it. .223 is small enough, and it aint like you are going to be moving on foot anyway. Throw a few thousand rounds of .223 in the back of your new Hummer (H1. H2s and the like are for wannabes.) and roll out.

If you feel that you NEED a rimfire, at least take a 22wmr, or a 17hmr. Not much larger ammo, but LOTS more oomph.

For a pistol? GLOCK 17. Duh? Are there any substitutes? (Close to) Revolver reliability, 33rd mags, will last damn near forever...

OF course if the last 2 years "ammo shortage" has shown us anything, the common calibers may be harder to find than people realize...

Don't like to use a firearm for zombies(just not as fun), but do carry the FN for back up.

That depends.

Romero zombies: I don't mind using the blades to save ammo.

28 days later zombies: Fuck blades, let's nuk'em from orbit.

Rodent Waki for primary, Emerson/Weiland framelock Super7 for pocket. At least until I find a dead Mil or LEO. Then I'll be carying whatever gun they had.
