zombieland

That depends.

Romero zombies: I don't mind using the blades to save ammo.

28 days later zombies: Fuck blades, let's nuk'em from orbit.

Did you see 28 Weeks Later as well? The helicopter pilot took out a field of them with the helicopter blades :D

If they're 28 days later mutants, I say screw blades. Too much risk of getting their blood in your eyes/mouth. Then you're screwed.

Swamp Rat Waki and an AWC Amphibian. Let's face it guys, you'll want to travel light and quietly. The Amphibian works wonders.

AR-15 M4 type with a EoTech site w lots of extra magazines, my Himalayan Imports 20 " Sirupita Khukuri, and a Sig Sauer P220 45 with lots of extra magazines as well.

You're all crazy.

LOW ORBIT ION CANNON! BOOM

Guys its so obvious what to carry!! A tommy gun with a drum magazine and the busse AK 47!!

What one knife and one gun would you carry in a world of zombies.

I actually did live with zombies.

When I was in law school, I lived for 3 years in the back of a funeral home. Small room, about maybe 12x8. Right below my floor was the embalming room, and on the other side of the wall was the casket room. When they would bring in a body in the middle of the night, I could hear that embalming pump going.

Thats when I became interested in guns. I figured that a 357 magnum k-frame S&W would slow a zombie down long enough for me to run in the other direction. Still have that gun. Seriously, its not easy to sleep alone in a building with several dead bodies unless you are well-armed.

Now I would probably go for a Remington Marine Magnum shotgun, with a feed tube extension and one of those shell carriers strapped to it. That would remove half of a zombie's head.

What knife? I don't think a knife would do you much good. If they get close enough for you to stick 'em, they are already tasting manflesh and its too late.

and has great kill power!

Zombies aren't impressed with kill power, because they are already dead.

When I've gone one on one with a zombie, the only thing that works is to disassemble them. Remove their legs with a chain saw, and they can't chase you. Tear off their arms, and their torsos can't crawl. Liquify their faces with 12 gauge and they can't see you. A belly full of 7.62mm won't do the trick.

No need for headshots :D.

Nah, that one's already been ruled out.
Flaming zombies...walking Molotov Cocktail anyone?
Not tactically sound.
Fire is for disposing of the zombie corpses.
The fire would burn out eyes rendering them with no vision, and the burnt and destroyed muscles would make them unable to move.

Zombies don't rely on sight very much(smell is more important).
Even if the smell receptors were burnt out(anticipating your reply), they will blunder around, setting others alight(human or zombie). Wow, this worked out GREAT; now there's 25 flaming zombies coming at us!
AND the muscles don't burn quick enough to render them unable to blunder into your lines, setting you or your compatriots on fire.
Has NO ONE here read the Zombie Survival Guide? You'll all be eaten and burnt, and I'LL be taking your cars for a joyride.:D

Saw it last night, it was awesome

Those zombies could run and somewhat think, so I suppose I would WANT to carry a katana for my blade and a SAW M249 with a backpack of ammo for my gun....but from what I have in my house to choose from, it would be a machete and a Henry .22LR lever action. I think it holds about 15 long rifle and 18 short, I'll have to double check now :p

Great book, I'll have to read it again soon. My favourite lesson from the book is lesson #3;

Use your head: Cut off theirs

I would probably carry a BK9 for zombie killing
