Zt 0392 BRNGLD!

I just got email confirmation today, I checked tracking looks like ZT had it shipped out Thursday via UPS. It was scheduled for Monday 12/7 delivery, unfortunately since UPS sucks and they always have some type of bs excuse about delays I will have to wait another day for it to arrive. I'm a bit annoyed that I paid the extra $ for 2day shipping and it was sent ground according to the UPS tracking website.

Anyhow congrats Rickknife on getting your 0392brngld, I had faith in ZT customer service as they are always great to deal with.
Congrats to the rest who are able to hold and play with their new toy, I can't wait to get mine, will post pix once it arrives.
 
I'd like to tell you it feels better to get one when I didn't think I would ... but no, I think just a shipping notice last Wednesday morning would have been fine by me. And I don't have it yet!, but at this point I will be pretty surprised if I don't get one. I am still hoping for some pictures of the first two versions all customized out.
 
My package was waiting for me when I got home. I just checked my email and there is a notification that it was sent out.

I hear ya Rick. I paid for 2nd day air as well. Mine arrived in Hodgkins, IL this am at 10. Apparently it going to take UPS 2 days to get here with a scheduled delivery day of wed. 2 Days for a 2-hour drive south of them to Peoria. Think im going to raise a little hell when i pick it up. Ridiculous.
 
I just picked mine up from UPS and it seems to be a dud. :( Blade lock up is like 60-70% and the blade wobbles up and down when I force it. You can also hear a clicking noise during this. I can tell the blade is moving because I can see the thumbstuds pull away from the frame. There are scratches on the scales like someone dropped it and the blade is not centered.

Do you think I should call them?

The good news is it will come back perfect. Bad news is the wait.

Bummer - good thing is you bought it right from ZT - contact them tomorrow and be a gentleman, and let's see how they take care of your problem.

It's never fun to get a new knife you have been looking forward to that has problems -

^^^ That sucks, sorry to hear about your issues. Take pictures to document it and call ZT asap, I am sure they will take care of it.
 
Hey guys so my knife literally just arrived here at 11pm and it was thrown into my gate by two guys in a pickup truck. They didn't ring the bell or anything they just threw it in and drove away. I saw them from my window and went outside to see what they threw in and was shocked to see that it was the knife. Not only do I find it strange that it was delivered so late and by two random dudes in a pickup truck but I just received my shipping email a few hours ago and it says in the email that it was shipped via ups and had a ups tracking number but the packaging slip in the box says it was shipped on 12/3 via FedEx. I'm happy my knife arrived but I find this very weird.
 
Probably temp holiday workers or lasership.

This time of year, the big 3 all work together to get stuff accomplished. FedEx probably shipped it to a ups hub and ups had lasership do the delivery.
 
So I called about my issues and I assure you I was polite on the phone. The guy actually said "so what are you calling me for?" When I told him of all the issues. I said to figure out what we should do. The guy said oh ok, then directed me to the regular warranty form.

I'm thinking it's not even worth the hassle of sending it in. I may just try and unload it at my cost.... What do you guys think?

Did you get a name of the person who told you that? I would not like someone saying that to me, but that said I would send the knife back with the warranty form and let them address the issues.

I would say that the lockup picture you sent me would not worry me out of hand, but if you have lockup issues then I would have to send it back.

It is good that the knife has a replaceable / tuneable lockbar face, so sending it back to CS will allow someone there with experience to tune the knife and get it straightened out for you -

I'm really loving this knife. My only gripe is that the pocket clip is not the same color as the rest of the gold hardware like it is in the picture. It's more like a dark brown color
 
Check the pivot, tightening the pivot if its loose will correct the late lock up.

Got my knife! They did send it ground though. I paid for 2nd day air. Maybe ill get a refund.

Is the pocket clip on yours a different color than the hardware?
