Zt 0392 BRNGLD!

What exactly are your damages? Why do you think they owe you anything? I am just wondering this due to your rabid tantrum here.

Too many participation trophies as a young one? Not everyone wins in the real world, sparky....

Don't assume you know anything about me. I've earned every award I've ever received.

i started this thread for ZT enthusiast. Im sorry to those who didnt get a knife, but lets not turn this into an uncivilized attack of each other. ZT's system may be frustrating but I will say the current one has improved compared to the past.

I was in communication with KAI shortly after my order failed to process. They told me there were a few orders cancelled for reasons not specified. They said my situation, where the system failed to process my order after submitting all of my information, happened to a bunch of people and I think they are aware of who suffered the issue.

KAI said they would keep in touch with regards to the failed sales but i haven't heard anything yet I think because of the warehouse sale.

If I was to wager a guess, folks like me who submitted an order but the system failed to complete it still registered as completed sales. Since the knife wasn't paid for, the system kicked the inventory back out into the queue.

If this is the case, KAI knows who had a failed sale and who was a follow-up buyer on that same knife. So that could account for the cancelled orders- making certain the original buyers get the knife, but I don't know. If not this one, I'd like the opportunity to get in on the next LE sale.

Zero Tolerance is trying to find a way to sell their LE's in a better fashion and so far no luck. In the meanwhile they don't owe you anything. They put a product up for sale that is extremely limited compared to the number of people trying to buy one. You didn't get one, so what?? They don't owe you a knife, they don't owe you an explanation, they don't owe you jack squat.

Yeah I think this one is a great big crap sandwich all-around. I won't go so far as to castigate members who are frustrated with the process because I am firmly among them at the moment. Sucks to have their sale system yank the carpet from under your feet during checkout, probably sucks just as bad to have the email rejection so long after the fact.

At least in my experience KAI/ZT realize there are huge problems and they're doing their best to find an amicable solution. I still love ZT knives and the way KAI has been communicating with me makes me love their knives even more, even if I couldn't buy myself a BRNGLD for Christmas.

Man it would be hilarious if the people who took the cancelation with a modicum of reasonableness got something in return and the whiners were left out in the cold.

Gotta agree here. This exact thing happened to me with the 454; ordered, got charged, received a shipping notification, then an email saying no knife for you, fool. This while reading of other members who were compensated for the same thing. Meh. Later tried for the blackwash 392 and got lucky there with no issues. Yay, the world moves on.

I missed out on the original 454 also. I didn't complain or cry about it. I had to buy one on the second hand market for twice the original price.

Shit happens, life goes on.............

I'm not sure why you think someone who really wanted to purchase this knife and thought they had it, and was charged and told they had it, and then told it was a mistake and they can't have it are whining. I think they're just upset and disappointed.

Everyone knows its not a perfect system. Even when sold through specified dealers. I spent too much time on dealer sites trying to purchase the other 392's and watching a spinning circle of death on all their websites. ZT is trying to make the buying process better.

I guess I am just old school and understand that life is NOT FAIR. This new "I'm offended" and "I'm entitled" stuff doesn't sit well with me.

Because I can almost guarantee there have been nasty emails sent to KAI about this or there will be abusive calls made to customer service in Monday. We've seen in the past how some people here talk to people from a company and seeth with entitlement.

If they can figure out a way to fix their system they won't have to deal with it. Until then, yes people will get upset when things don't work the way they're supposed to. I still don't think it's whining though.

Its 100% what it is. Whining about their dissapoint. Move on people... it's just a knife.

I think the worst comment I've seen was on facebook about a guy missing a hinderer 3v limited run saying "that's what i get for putting family first" when he missed out on a thanksgiving sale lol.....

Some times things don't go as planned, people make mistakes, and people who think the are owed something are a joke. I think that participation trophy posted earlier is what we should all pitch in and have made for the whiners.

Don't forget that knife center has been over selling their pre orders for years. People still buy from them and ore order from them. They over sell almost every time. Seems thats quite possibly what happened here with the web sote being so bogged down.

I don't see entitlement here, just frustration. ZT took our orders, accepted payment, gave us confirmation numbers, and then renigged on the order without even an explanation. Certainly not something we would tolerate in our sales here on BF. Frustrating but not the end of the world. I will follow up with ZT on Monday and let anyone who cares know what they say. I have certainly had positive interactions with their customer service in the past. I will be surprised if it is anything more than another glitch in their system that allowed it to sell more knives than they had. On to bigger and better things ... while folks with 0392 interest are here has anyone customized the first two variations of the 0392? I would love to see some pictures.

Don't assume you know anything about me. I've earned every award I've ever received. That's how we do things down south.

I can tell a whole lot about you by the way you are ranting here.

Yes - it is an entitlement mentality. You think your social media posting will impact sales, that is laughable. I don't think YOU have any idea just how big and operation Kai is if you truly believe that your sale or social media posting will have any impact on their sales.

I did not get one either. No, they didn't ding my credit card and then refund the money, but if they had I still would not be stomping around the internet like a child having a tantrum.

I also like the way you indicate that they somehow planned to have the warehouse sale this weekend just so they would not have to answer YOUR emails to customer service. Again, does that sound like someone thinks the world revolves around them?

It does to me.

I am truly sorry you did not get your expensive LE knife, I would like for everyone who can afford such luxuries in the world could get them for themselves. Truly.

Last night I was at our local liquor store and was in a raffle for a bottle of PVW 23. I didn't win the chance to buy it. I think I am going to go start a smear campaign on face-time-twita-gram and bring that store to it's knees. I mean, how dare they lead me on like that to think I might have had a bottle of whisky. Cowards I tell ya!!

I gotta agree here. Most of these folks are not whining, they are just venting their frustrations as they should be. Entitlement, no, however, when a customer was charged for an order, sent a follow up email confirming their purchase and subsequently sent an email revoking the order, I believe a company, out of stellar customer service initiative, should at least explain to their lifeblood why this has happened. A company does have a responsibility to their customers. The first priority of any business should be customer service, and ZT is in no way servicing their paying customers by cancelling orders without explanation.

Again, this happens with knife center all the time..... people move on and continue buying. Yes, people are upset, but the way they are going on about it like something is going to change is amusing.

Yes, i tried and failed too.

You guys defending ZT's mistakes sound like the ones stomping around having a tantrum. Yes we know it's 'just a knife' but expressing frustration over getting a raw deal is not to be confused with whining, entitlement, me me me, or any other comparisons you've made.

One of the things made clear to me in my discussions with KAI CS is there is a clear distinction made between those customers who are polite versus those who are not polite.

I'm left with the sense that people are being major assholes in communicating with KAI CS. Right now, KAI is responding favorably to the polite customers.
