Zt 0392 BRNGLD!

Is there a possibility you may have double ordered by clicking the purchase button? That really is unfortunate let's hope no one else here gets the bad news.

I got the same message as luke86 about three hours ago. I got a confirmation email Tuesday night and did not violate any of their rules either. I was one of the people who were oversold the original 0392s. Last time they were so polite and gave us an early option on the next le and a small gift as an apology and a dedicated customer rep. This letter does not even seem like an apology, more like a fyi. As luke86 said, they are closed for the factory sale, so I don't think I can even call them until Monday, which seems intentional, given the time they sent the message.

Sorry I took so long to get photos. I've been working for the past few hours.

The photos are terrible. Sorry to the folks that didn't get one. Not gonna lie; you missed out.
I'm actually pretty new to knife collecting, and this is my biggest score so far. I started working at a retail location that sells knives (among other things) awhile ago, and I fell in love. I'd love to get a custom hinderer or strider, but those knives are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of my spending limit.

the only thing I can think of is that I remember awhile back to ZT/KAI publicly stated they have a no sell list for LE's . Whatever the reason some one would be put on that list is beyond me, but it does exist.

Either way.... I didn't get one and I am very much still a ZT/KAI fan.

Sounds like someone lives in Canada or tried to buy two...
Nah...ZT just F'd up...at least twice.

All the more reason I stand behind my earlier comment that this system is a joke. But apparently it's unrealistic of me to expect them to make it work right - my bad.

A no sell list?

A no sell list?
I believe the first time i read about it was when they split the LE up throughout the dealers. I believe it was going gear (who i bought from) that had a little snipit about it. Break the rules of the sale and you'll be added to the ZT/KAI no sell list. It might not be a thing now, but it was then.

At least I'm not the only one that got screwed.

Someone explain to me why any particular individual is entitled to buy a particular knife. I have been disappointed to get the dreaded "we cannot complete order" email, after thinking that my order was going to be fulfilled. It sucks, but I didn't get mad at ZT. Why not? Because I'm smart enough to understand that the number of people seeking to buy a LE greatly exceed the number available, and that I have no greater right to one than any of the other people who went through the same process I went through. For whatever reason, and the reason doesn't matter, they got through the que (whether on the ZT site or a dealer site) before me. Better luck next time.

At least I'm not the only one that got screwed. That email was definitely not an apology but a rather matter of fact kinda bs email. They have no plans to make it right and sent it just before there day off so we couldn't contact them for a few days. That's a seriously screwed up thing to do. It would have been one thing if I didn't get one to start with. That wouldn't piss me off but this crap is ridiculous and not a way to treat your customers at all. I'll never buy another KAI product if they don't make this right somehow. I've bought the 0392brngld so I know I'm not on a do not sell list.

What exactly are your damages? Why do you think they owe you anything? I am just wondering this due to your rabid tantrum here.

Too many participation trophies as a young one? Not everyone wins in the real world, sparky....

Zero Tolerance is trying to find a way to sell their LE's in a better fashion and so far no luck. In the meanwhile they don't owe you anything. They put a product up for sale that is extremely limited compared to the number of people trying to buy one. You didn't get one, so what?? They don't owe you a knife, they don't owe you an explanation, they don't owe you jack squat.

In a few months when I'm ready to buy another knife, I will be looking on the used market for this one. It has definitely made the list of knives I want to own. We will have to see what they are going for on the used market in a few months. My list of knives I want exceeds my budget so I have to see what is the best bang for my buck. Of course bang for the buck is quite subjectively based on my state of mind when I am making the purchase.

I'm upset bc I was told I purchased a knife. If I didn't get through then that would have just been my bad luck. But I did get through. I was given an order confirmation and my credit card was charged so I obviously had my hopes up bc I did get one. How do they decide who gets one is they oversell? And the fact that they don't even give me an explanation is the part that is messed up. I made it through the process so It wasn't my fault but theirs. And the timing of the email is very cowardly bc there out of the office today bc of their sell. If you screw something up like this you should have a legit explanation and do something to make it right instead of the garbage email a couple of us got. That's just extremely poor customer service.

I did get one that's the whole issue. I wouldn't be pissed if I didn't. I know its extremely limited and my chances were slim on getting through in time. But I got through and was charged and told I would be receiving one when others that didn't get through were not. That's why theres a problem. If they over sold they should come out and say something instead of sending that vague email.

Gotta agree here. This exact thing happened to me with the 454; ordered, got charged, received a shipping notification, then an email saying no knife for you, fool. This while reading of other members who were compensated for the same thing. Meh. Later tried for the blackwash 392 and got lucky there with no issues. Yay, the world moves on.
