Zt 0452cf

I got my 0452 today, does anyone else find theirs hard to open? My index finger is sore from breaking it in.
 
My detent is fine and flicks open easily, there is variation on most ZT flippers. How about where your tip is? See my posted question earlier on page 2.

Hopefully mine gets here on Monday...I'm very excited.
 
For some reason, the blade on the 0452CF looks wider than the 0454. Maybe it's an optical illusion from the composite blade on the 0454 that makes it look a bit more narrow. Obviously, both blades are the same size, but just looking at the side-by-side, the 0452CF blade does look beefier.
 
I prefer the 0454 handle width over the 0452CF, but I've been reasonably impressed with both.

I have an 0454-204P coming from Russia - I'm guessing that one will end up being preferred over the 0452CF.

I just got these two this morning! I am blown away by the ZT. Its so athletic.. Long, lean cutting machine!
 
Got mine in this morning before having to leave town. No where as big as I thought it was going to be (maybe I have bigger hands then I think because this always happens with knives). Super light. Balanced perfectly at the first choil. Best ZT F&F wise I have received. Daddy like :) Snapped a few pics:

ETA: Should be a good cutter, nice and thin behind the edge (for a ZT) :cool:

I just got mine today and I love everything but the clip and the tip's closeness to the end. Mine actually is closer to the end than the one posted earlier.

I wonder what aftermarket clips fit? It desperately needs a better pocket clip.

If anything, it makes me want a 0454 more. :eek:
 
I just got mine.
The clip is pretty bad imo. It's the only thing I don't like about mine, I'll probably make one out of carbon fiber eventually. It's just too small for me, and dosent go well with the rest of the knife imo.

The tip is pretty much how my 0454 came; almost sticking out. This dosent bother me, since I'd have to intentionally try and cut myself on it while it's closed. Like the 0454, they've fit a lot of blade into this handle.

All in all, it's an awesome knife. Functionally and ergonomically, it's just as good as my 0454. But aesthetically, it's not wearing a suit like the 0454 is.

The flipping action on my 0452 is stronger and faster than my 0454, but I prefer the 0454 more since it opens without having to jam my finger into the flipper tab. I'm not a fan of really deep detents, it's an easy way to get the knife flipping fast without paying attention to the other aspects of a flipper.
 
I just got mine. Funny, my first thought was the clip looks really weird. Smallest clip out of all my knives yet this is no small knife. It has a stiff detent, much more so than my 801; however, the blade flys open. Also, it's really rough in the area where the detent is no longer riding on the blade but before the blade is locked open. Other than that, this is a really cool knife. It's very light weight for the size and ergonomics are excellent. Maybe better than any knife I've handled before. Very happy I was able to score one of these so early. Still waiting on the ever elusive 0562cf though.
 
The mailman was good to me today. What an absolute pleasure it is to own this knife. The knife is sexy!!!
Yeah, another good score for ZT. Looking forward to the 0808.

I know what you're saying about how its rough where the lock bar rubs the blade tang once it gets past the detent ball. Mines real rough...
 
Have one on the way, don't mind s35v but for the price wish it was m390 like 0620cf.
