So like others I just seen a ZT 0454 sold on the exchange, I didn't even know they were out yet! But seller said there were only 100 made! Is this true? Was hoping to learn what is going on with this model

Hopefully more than 100 get made. Pretty sure the one on the Exchange was a lottery one from Blade Show. If there are only 100 made I can only imagine secondary market prices. Hunting one of these down will be time consuming and luck. But for those who get them they will be special.

It got me all worked up hearing this lol I jumped on every site on a mission to score one!

I heard that they sold some at Blade. I am not sure if that was all of them though. I doubt it.

I wouldnt stick my neck out saying how many will be available only KAI knows how many will be made, anyone else speculating doesnt know what they are talking about

True about not knowing numbers but it came as a shock to me seeing one when I didn't even know they were out

ZT is selling them at the Blade show under a lottery so Im guessing we will be seeing them soon,Just guessing though who knows

KAI reps at BladeShow were stating the 100 total made number, and they did a lottery for ten of them, and if you won a lottery spot, price to purchase was $500.

Also pretty cool was a Blackwashed 801 CarbonFiber that Smokey Mountain Knifeworks had available for $400, KAI was showing a standard 801 Blakcwashed one, which they said would be regular production.

Or hype to draw attention to the sale creating an urgency to buy. The add originally said only 10 were made.

We see this often, an example is a 0777M390BLK add that says rare only 150 made which was the original number House of Blades posted and later (twice I believe) said ZT just shipped us more.

From my understanding KAI no longer releases production numbers. This is really hard to believe.

Hard or not, that's what two different people at the ZT/KAI booth told me, sounded like a repeated learned answer as they both stated it in identical terms.
