ZT 0550/0551 scales direct from Rick Hinderer Knives!!

T8 for the Pivot and T10 for the handle screws. I've always wondered why ZT didn't make the pivot screw a T10 also.

pics makes me wonder. Rick's titanium standoffs fit????
 
houtex, just thought I'd try your idea out...and looks like the hardware (screws, threaded shaft and standoffs- anodized bronze in my case) for the XM-18 does fit the 0551. Have to use all Hinderer parts per fastner as the 0551 has threaded standoffs- can't just swap out the standoffs.

wow! I really regret not nabbing an 055X now. I hope these are offered for the 056X as well. By the way, I think a carbon fiber 0561 scale would be sweeeeeet. :D
 
I just ordered the blue/. green and i cant wait to see this on my 0551
 
For the casual observer who doesn't have a stock 0551 to compare - here is mine, with the aforementioned BM 480-1 Shoki and it's CF scales:

Man I wish I still had access to the laser engraver at my last job. I made some cool stuff with that thing. :)
 
Got my 0551 in today...ALONG WITH...my Hinderer scale in Blue Black. :D

Got three screws out and then I notice I don't have the proper size Torx wrench to remove the pivot screw (pivot needs to be adjusted anyway as this thing is waaaaay to tight) . BUMMER!!!! :( What size Torx is the pivot screw? I guess I'm going to have to get one. :rolleyes:
