I think the background in the picture is different [emoji14]
Hello guys, I found a place online that has the older M390 Version for $275 Shipped. Do you think I should order this one after this news?
Maybe this will go up in value a little
I think that price seems a little high to me but maybe someone else can chime in .
Since these were next to impossible to find, and all the auctions I ever saw on that e-auction site went for around that (or higher), I'd say jump on it if you have to have the M390 steel version.
ZT gambled on the knife consumer's Steel Of The Week mentality, and it backfired when 390 became in short supply. Now, regardless of performance, there we be some backlash...
Isn't M390 basically the same as 204P?
Yep. Which is why it was an excellent USA made substitute steel.
Virtually the same:
204p has .05 more Tungsten and Manganese.
M390 has .10 more Silicon.
Wheelwe and twoolly.
Well for $270 Shipped I guess Ill take one. M390 vs CTS 204P i am sure will be no difference but I have a thing for discontinued things
That's what's most important really anyway is if it's worth it to you then it's a good deal .
No gamble and no backlash!
ZT offered its customers what they wanted in M390 and now that it's not so readily available in such quantities it's substituting a very similar steel in CTS-204P. That's all!
Got myself a 0620CF in ...M390? coming in, cost $180 shipped. I think its a good deal.
I know right? The only backfire i can hear is from all that awesome #horsepower.
Looks like a shipment of these went to dealers today. After waiting all my life, I finally have one of these on the way.
ZT 0562CF in M390 (top) and 0562CF in CTS-204P (bottom). Other than the steel the CF pattern is different.
Aha!! I had thought I noticed a difference in the pattern!!! Both are fantastic really, and I think either one would make a lot of folks happy to own it.
The top is plain weave and the bottom is 2x2 twill. I like the plain weave better but would be OK with either.
