Jimmer mentioned the clip changing from the original prototype. Maybe I misunderstood. Sounds like it will be even better than even imagined from the last prototype pics. I finally had a chance to handle one of these, I really need to try to get to Blade in the future, and these are.. I can't find words. They feel very sturdy and feather light. I hadn't really seen or noticed a good edge on pic, although admittedly I've tried to avoid them and the drama, and I was surprised at how very thin they are. There is some serious aerospace grade engineering in these. They will be worth the wait, however long that may be.

Thinking about the price and what I've spent on knives this year, at what point do you turn the corner from knife collecting to knife hoarder and how do you know when you are around that corner? Can we start a support group? I think I have a problem...

There are people that are that up set with KAI's lack of producing the 0777. Which in my opnion is just silly.

It is one thing when corporations deliberatly deceive and manipulate just to make more profit. I guess maybe that is what those angered about this knife think KAI is doing. Personally I don't see them as that knif of a corporation. I think they are set on producing the best product they can by taking every step to get it right. Sometimes a lot of time is consumed in this process.

Not that silly when every rep I asked at Blade 2012 said they would be released within a month after they got back

Someone review a K-shaw 'Tilt!' - or a ZT 0551 or 0560/561. What was the pre-sell/lead time on them? Seriously - the 0777 may have been a bit too ambitious for KAI. Goodness knows it has had it's share of engineering changes since it's inception. Good luck to KAI and the 0777 buyers alike.

Yep. KAI/ZT folks have recently posted in another thread that they're "in assembly" - but knowing these were mostly pre-ordered OVER A YEAR AGO (Sep. 2011 for me) that maybe they'd at least post some pics of said assembly to hold us over?
