I'd just love to see a 456 that doesn't weight as much as a brick. I love the knife... Aside from the weight. Will love to see a ZT 0456 in CF no liner similar to the Fluted Native 5 . ZT Needs to reduce the weight on the 0456 sweet knife but to heavy.

All I want from ZT this year is a full TI 0562 in 20CV. Easy peasy.
Hinderer might not want that.
I'm thinking about, when I get the money to blow on it, getting my 0456 milled out to drop the weight, but it would likely be cheaper to just get a custom scale with inset threads (I'm a lefty). If it does not weigh like a brick, it will not be called 0456The key idea behind 0456 is hefty and sturdy.
I've thought of that as well. But I don't really see how that would steal any more XM18 sales from him than the 0562CF is already doing.
A company that exclusively makes expensive knives definitely doesn't target the military.I don't think we are their target audience(military and law enforcement is the guys are their target group ), zt has a few knives that are lightweight but most are over 5 oz.,I have a few zt's but don't carry them at all...but always interested in new knives so 2018 bring it on
Oh yeah , plus bringing even more attenion to his exelent designs and a different customer base that maybe couldn't afford one of his shop made knives .I'm sure Rick is enjoying the royalty checks![]()
+1 to both. And lose the recurve on the 301 for those of us who are sharpening impaired.I'd like to see another fixed blade. I still kick myself for missing the one they discontinued last year.
I'd also love to see a redesigned 301 type. Giant, heavy beast of a knife but fired without the use of a torsion bar (detent and BBs are fine for me).
