Nope. A lot of those issues have been said before and are the reason why the 0804 wasn't as successful (besides being DLC only).Hardcore issues there.
Nope. For $300 I should have female collars on the other side of the screw not having it going straight into the titanium scale. Also being DLC only and having a billboard on your pocketclip isn't key to success either. That's all you got?
Lack of Sharpening Choil
Lack of Internal Milling
Overpriced
Gaudy Pivot
Carter for LHTP Carry instead
Etc.
I don't know what you mean by lack of internal milling or the "Carter" issue.
But all in all, I love this knife. It flips like a dream on bearings. Mine closes under its own weight. Rock solid. No blade play. It uses premium materials throughout, from the really nice carbon fiber scale to the CTS 204P powder steel. The ergos and blade geometry are awesome for an EDC. The blade has a high saber grind, with edge shoulders just 0.0235 inches wide. A nice pointy point for detail work.
Other than a few minor, mostly cosmetic issues, it's a great knife from my perspective. Carries light and works hard. Absolutely love this knife.
I got a new one for 200 and it has better lock up than my old one. (0804cf) It's very well made and has an elegant feel. Nice thick carbon fiber, big pointy sharp blade. Very light and precise. None of the mentioned criticisms bother me at all, for 200.
not justified. they choose based on availability, they are all equal and you will not see any difference. if you want, you can trade someone who has a 204p. you can talk to the vendor to see if they would swap one based off of what there page said. but its really no big deal.I received my 0804cf today and was disappointed to find that it is CPM 20CV instead of the advertised CTS 204P. I know they are in the same class and all, but I wanted to try CTS 204P, which was a major reason I ordered the knife.
Think my disappointment is justified?

Why do you prefer 20cv over 204P, if you don't mind me asking?Yeah, I emailed the vendor to see if they have any 204P. Maybe they will swap.

I need an 0562 handle with a 3.5" 0566 blade shape in whatever steel ZT wants to make it in...stat!
Gotcha, I do the same thing. For me, I just enjoy having the various steels just in case a benefit of one over the other pops up in practice. However, from all reports I read, 204p, 20cv, and M390 are identical in use. I do have the 0562 in 20cv and would snap up another one if they released it in M390.Would like to try a 2nd gen steel. Plus, it seems almost everything I have is Crucible, wanted to try a different maker.

While the 0801 carries surprisingly well for its weight, the 0900 carries even better. Yes, the flipper tab REALLY sticks out, but given that its short length stays well above the bottom of my pocket, it hasn't been an issue. The 0900 is a bit thick to be a good slicer, but it's fine for other EDC stuff.
I love me some 0801, but it's always been a bit big for me to EDC (YMMV). Honestly, the biggest reason I like the 0900 is BECAUSE of it's stubby overbuilt-for-size silliness. It ALWAYS puts a smile on my face, which is justification enough. It's hard for me to resist picking up a spare.
