When it's announced, if you don't move quickly, i.e. within an hour or two, you will be paying 2x MSRP. For reference, see 0454 on the exchange right now. What I am trying to say is that if you really want one without paying insane overinflated secondary prices, you need to be astute and watch closely and find out exactly when these go on sale. When I say exactly, I literally mean the exact hour of the exact day, otherwise instead of paying $375, you will be paying $600+, trust me.
I don't think it'll be as bad as all that. If they do it like they did the 0454 sale (and presumably that's the plan) they will announce the date and time of the sale a couple weeks in advance. If you miss THAT sale (even by a minute or two), you can definitely expect to be pay more than you would for an actual Hinderer. I would definitely have an account premade with KAI to speed up the ordering process and sign up for their newsletter though.

- Sounds like you're not familiar with ZT's production process. They no longer announce release dates. Knives will be released when they are released. Some knives like the ZT0777 took quite a while...I don't understand what's taking ZT so long? We are now in the 4th qrt of the year and still no release date....

I fully agree. The real deal Eklipses have been selling between $600-$750, usually closer to $600 recently. I fully expect the ZT version to go for $1000 initially then $850 after the initial demand goes down a bit. Its pretty ridiculous, which is why I'm not going to bother with it. Not to mention the already difficult time getting Hinderer hardware, its not like there will be any increase in production. For the price of the ZT limited runs (secondary market), Id rather get a full custom from any number of other makers.
I don't think that the 392 would sell for more than the real Eklipse.Am i missing something?
Limited production, full Ti, bearing pivot that actually flips, M390... I fully expect the ZT version to sell for well above what an Eklipse goes for.
