1 belt knife to rule them all

The Aurora is my pick as well. But I really love my Busse SJTAC, with a thinned edge on it, it slices like a dream, it's just too heavy to comfortably wear on my belt.

Definitely the Bark River Aurora...I bought it around Easter and have not bought a knife since. I am not saying it's a better knife than lots of other, similar knives, but it's a very, very good knife. Ideally I would pair it up with something like a 3/4 axe and a very small fixed blade or a small folding knife.

I can't think of anything I want a knife to do that the Aurora doesn't do for me.

The Aurora is a fine knife. I love mine. That and my BRKT Golok and I would be all set.........but that's two knives, darn it!

I think the RC-4 would get the nod based on its ease of carry and toughness. It beats out some sentimental favorites like my Leuku, and my Cold Steel SRK in Carbon V.

Too hard to say! Right now, probably either my BRKT Kephart or Aurora. The kephart seems to be finding it's way into my hands more often right now. I'm getting a new Farmer soon, so that might win above the others.

I love my Aurora as well. However, I have been quite taken with my latest acquisition........which is a Breeden Pathfinder with 4" blade:

It is a very difficult question. I think my choice would be Swamp Rat Ratweiler. I like it more than my Busse Steel Hreart. It is not a combination of tools, but it is THE KNIFE.

Great looking setup man:thumbup:

Just one knife? Would either be my Buck119 or my TAK 1095. I would problably steer toward my TAK because I could baton with it.

i Have So Many. Usually I Carry Three. But One Knife To Rule Them All Should Not Be Too Big Or Too Small. Maybe This Busse Skinny Ash1 That I Did A Full Convex Grind On.

Theo..I remember when that Aurora was shiny and new..you have been using that puppy!

We have waaay too many of the same knives:D

Well, I'm too lazy to drop in some pictures, but I see "belt knife" as just that; something that is comfortable to carry 24/7. My idea is typcially a 4-6" fixed blade knife. I'm torn between a couple...I carry a Mad Dog PATAK everyday for work, but I'd want a little better slicer for outdoors:

Bark River Bravo-1 (top choice)
Bark River Wet Enviro
Fehrman Last Chance
Swamp Rat Ratmandu
Koster Nessmuk

Of course, I'll have several others for different needs:

Fiddleback Nessmuk camp chores
Garcia's SBT for bushcraft
Fallkniven's WM1 (in a MercHarness)
Large Chopper (Siegle, BRKT, Becker BK9 or Fehrman)
Couple of folders, my SAK Outrider, Silky Saw and Swiss Spirit multi tool

:D

ROCK6

Yeah we do...only you have WAY more than me man!

My 4" Breeden Kat 3/32" in O1 has really become a "go to" blade for me this summer.

Hey Rock, really starting to like that Swiss Spirit, aren't you? :D

The choice wouldn't be easy, since there's a lot of knives I like. But it would quite possibly end up being this, my current user Tommipuukko. Not the "best" knife I own, but certainly efficient and practical in the field.
