2007 Forum Knife Pattern Vote

I'm infor whatever it is. call me a fence sitter! :) a stockman or a canittler both sound good to me. or just about anything else for that matter. I wouldn't mind waiting to hear what CSC has to say/suggest.

No insult taken Charlie, I know you're just expressing your undying devotion to the stockman lobby:D :D . I do have a question for everyone here though. I think we need to clear the air about the issue of whether everyone wants to wait a couple of weeks for any suggestions by Canal Street pattern wise before we vote (see e-mail in post 165 above), or whether we should go ahead and vote on a pattern from the top five sooner. I personally don't see any harm in waiting, but I think a little yes or no vote might get us all on the same page here, so what do you all suggest?

Eric

Hell, the year's only just started. It can't hurt to wait a couple of weeks, can it? :)

I have no problem in waiting to hear from Canal Street but their suggestion should not be the deciding factor.

I'd like to rush over and wait in this line too please! I'm not sure where the front is but I certainly know where the rear is!! I'm getting back to my younger days with traditional knives. Thanks!
(stockman, stag or ivory, ATS34 is my vote.)

Wow this is a cool idea, and a great thread. My vote gos for the 4 inch three blade serpentine stockman in either stag or mammoth ivory.

And 1095 steel.:)

Keep those stockman votes coming in; you'll be glad you did!!

Well, seeing I've waited about 39 years 10 months before getting into knife collecting I thin k I can wait a little longer:D

I would like to see a whittler in the final list, but a canittler seems to look quite attractive. I just bought my first knife in my collection on Sunday (as apposed to the load I inherited) which is a Ka Bar stockman so a stockman isn't as high on my list as before...but what the heck as long as it is attractive and legal over hear I really don't care.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll post here as soon as I get some word from Canal Street. I emailed them with our intentions to vote on a pattern in mid-March to coincide with whatever they have to suggest. I'm actually more curious as to whether they have any ideas as to bolster design , shields, etc than patterns. Seems we've already got a general concensus as to the top 3 or four already in that area. But then you never know what will pop up.
I'll keep you posted.
Eric

Thank you, Eric, for your time, hard work, and dedication to the 2007 Forum Knife Pattern and all the rest. It is a responsibility that not everyone could handle.

Thanks for being patient with us in our excitement to get the knife. And it appears from the recent posts that we are also going to be patient in waiting for the rest of the information needed.

In gratitude for your efforts,

TJ
