2007 Forum Knife Pattern Vote

Ditto on the thanks/appreciation. Really. This has got to be a lot of work.

And as long as we're talking embellishments:

I'd love to see threaded, pinched bolsters, as well as long and/or matchstrike nail nicks. Especially if we end up with the stockman.

I agree with ParaGlock, long and/or matchstrike nail nicks would be really nice if we decide on the stockman.

Yeah, I'll third that, you don't see a whole lot of matchstrike nick any more, that would be a great feature if they could do it!.

I'm still voting for a stockman :D

And I got no problem with waiting.

Ok.... here would be my ultimate slip joint knife.... :-)

Rail Splitter Stockman.
Spear Point main blade... matchstick nail nick.
Sheapsfoot blade alongside the main blade.
Punch replaces spey.
4" in something like D2.
(except the Punch in 420)

Here's why.... rail splitters have nice sized handles
that helps with leverage. Some stockmans are too thin.
Spear point... personal pref.
Sheepsfoot... great for opening boxes and such.
Punch... i use it all the time on my SAK soldier... for
staple removal, fire starting, and other tasks I wouldn't
want to blunt my blade with.

Then I would like pinched bolsters like on the S&Ms.
Handle material... something dark... and jigged.

Any progress on what we are collectively planning to do here now that the voters have spoken there minds and the smoke has cleared regarding pattern, maker, materials, etc.?. Has anyone tallied the votes?

Just curious.. ;) :p  :D

sunnyd,
Just waiting on word from Canal Street, Joe Hufnagle said he'd be in contact with me by the first or second week in March re. patterns and scale material. I'll post here as soon as I get word. Took a little survey a couple of weeks ago and everyone seemed to be in agreement to hear what they might suggest before we go for a vote. I'm getting a little antsy myself.

Yeah, Joe can be pretty good at replying to e-mails & such, but sometimes they also do things at thier own pace. ;) :D

I would imagine things would get pretty hairy when fifteen people are trying to keep up with regular production and SFO production at the same time. That along with the show circuit, throngs of admiring women, fighting off paparrazzi, etc:cool: :D :D

Just want everyone to keep in mind, this is nothing more than a club knife.

If you have been through a club knife selection and order placing you already know it is not going to happen in a hurry, there are going to be some folks who don't get exactly what they want and production is going to take longer than estimated. :D.

In other words, be nice to Eric!

Just checking in to see if there has been a definitive conclusion made. Personally I'd like one of everything mentioned. :)
