2008 Knifemakers Christmas Gift Exchange! (2nd Annual)

Man, these are all fantastic!! Gonna heat treat tomorrow, and hope to have finished by weekend. Good luck finishing up. I wanted to use this deadline to light a fire under my ass and it surely has done that!

Should work,I've seen you on fire before!!:p

Rest assured nathan, while i may take a photo of your burned up pant legs... if you get a fire under your ass... no worry about me taking a photo of your burned up backside...

I sent mine out today. I call it the "Bird and Trout Bowie" because it started out as a bird and trout blade but I couldnt resist a double guard. The overall length is less than 8" with claycoated W2, stainless and local elk dropped off here by the game warden. It was poached he said. I hope my buddy likes it.

Wants to be your buddy. Wants to be your buddy. Wants to be your buddy.

Do you think if I whisper it over and over and over, my wish will come true? Bruce, that is incredible! Nice knife. Whoever gets it will be having a very, very, merry Christmas.

Wow, I'm blown away!!

I got mine finished and out around the first of December. I suppose coming from Alberta it will take weeks to get to where it is going. So it should be there for Christmas. I had Scott post the pictures anonymously, once Christmas is over I would love to repost the picture to see what you guys think.

There sure are some beeeeautiiiiiful knives been shown here.

bad pic, but its the bowie i made for the exchange, still gotta etch my name, light etch so the hamon line will be darker, and get it shipped out, its 1084 with an oversized blue corian handle. the best knife i have ever made and the first i have forged out of known steel. hope the receiver likes it
