This one's going to be shipped this week. Forged 5/8" 1070 Round. Brute De Forge Spine w/ File Work. Elk antler handle. Pin, guard, and butt cap all hammered copper. Hand Forged 99% to shape. My best yet. 12" OAL 6.5" Blade

It is all so darn exciting. I love knives of all sorts thats why I started making them but I dont get to keep many of the ones I make. Also I can rarely afford to buy myself any so this once a year give one get one is just so flippin great. Dont tell my wife but any knife I get is gonna be the best gift I get. I decided not to post any pics of the one I made this year. But I did want to chime in and let you folks know I am getting ready to ship mine out.

I'm getting on this for 2009 for sure! It'll give me some time to work on my stuff because some of the stuff is very impressive!!
 
Lots of great stuff showing up!!! Should have mine done this weekend. Making one for another maker adds just a little to the fun, don't ya think??? ;)

I think so. Actually allot of fun. Maybe some stress to but more fun than stress. I hope we manage to keep on doing this. Besides being fun I think it helps allot of guys to push themselves.
 
I really thought I was going to be late after my shop got run over, but I'm doing heat treating today, so I might just make it!
 
I found my Stencils thank the LORD!!! I was afraid this was not going to get my logo on it LOL.
I was about to put the handle on it today and start the Sheath tomorow. SHould be in the mail soon Whew next year i start earlier and work longer. LOL

Finally, after my false start I'm almost done-all thats left is to sharpen,and finish the sheath.I think I'll be sending it out early next week:D

3 knives in the oven tempering right now >_< need to spend the whole weekend in the shop to finish knives for xmas including exchange knife =P
 
Sure are a lot of good looking knives showing up here. I hope to get mine finished tomorrow except for the sheath.
