2009 Fishing Season PIC Thread

Todd, I showed your picture to my 6 yr. old son. He wants to know how many poles you used to catch that many fish. We do a lot of panfishing. His favorite part is when I leave the tails on and fry them up crisp. He says it's like a potato chip. I've never seen a kid his age that loves fish more than he does. I can't figure out if he likes catching them or eating them more.

That's quite a mess of bream you have there.

Whats all in that pic Todd. Bluegill, crappie, largemouth, yellow perch? Id like to fillet that mess.

Myself, my dad and my brother caught these. Mostly bluegill, and redear, few crappie, shellcrackers, and a few largemouth. We really had a fun day.

I can't wait to get out and wet the line. Great thread!

Have any of you east coast guys caught a Snakehead?

More fish from this week end.

I never checked out those Falcon Cara's, I take it you like them:thumbup:

Here's whats in my tackle bag, minus some other soft plastics, and spinnerbaits.

I travel light compared to Tony :D

Missing in the photo is the soft tote with the soft plastics... it's in the photo below.
Can't wait to show Tony's pic to my fishing buddy next time he complains about my big bag of stuff.

Black bag for freshwater.
Green backpack for saltwater.
Blue waist pack for the surf.

I could just stuff these in my coat pocket and feel fine about a mornings bass fishing...

Lightning rod , abu 4600, and a zorro spinnerbait. Is that the old style lightning rod ? i like the old ones much better than the newer ones.

Early to mid 90's on the Lightning Rods.
When they were pricey lol
Are the new ones really bad?

I was livid when my buddy closed the cooler and broke the tip off one of my Lightning Rods 120 miles from home.
Now it is a 5' instead of 5 1/2' and makes a good shoreline jig rod.

Fishing rods and reels have gone crazy with the prices.
Now every company has a line that matches top of the line fly gear in price.
Someone must be buying them, or they'd have to quit making them.

The newer Lightning rods are not near as good looking as yours. They dont feel quite the same either.

Beautiful trout.

heres todays catch. a triple play. Channel cats, carp, and morels

During this last weeks holidays on the coast, I willingly played second fiddle to my two children, rebaiting hooks and taking fish off the hooks.

In three sessions, the kids caught over 30 fish

The most fun I have had fishing, without catching any myself :D

Kind regards
Mick

This ones for Dipbait. I know how you like them cats.

It might actually be from a day or two before 2009 but close enough. A catfish my nephew caught in AZ. His brother and him have been fishing with me since they could walk, maybe before. Fishing was really slow this day but he showed a lot of patience and was rewarded. His brother was a little mad.
