2009 Fishing Season PIC Thread

Nick, awesome smallies bro!

Rupe, nice job on the bass!

Cmon man, I go out in my john boats in worst wind than that!

The boat is actually out at the family trailer/cottage right now. Its only an hour away but just not as much fun alone. My wife and son had to work.
Theres also the threat that I might have to mow the lawn, paint windows, or fix something if I go out there.:o:D
If I'm fishin' solo I usually don't mind pounding the water from the shore.

TonyM-you and I must fish similarly. I usually fish by myself and I've got lots of pics with fish at the end of my outstretched arm. Lots with just my hand in them too. :D

Here's about half my catch from one of the tributaries to the Big Hole on saturday.

I love catching Brookies!

Rupestris- I know of a shirt you could use. It reads: "Jesus said go fishing. He said NOTHING about fixing the sink, mowing the lawn, walking the dog, painting the trim, washing the car, cleaning the garage, or weeding the garden."

Looks like I wasn't the only one that let the crappy weather keep him off the water.

Lets make up for the lack of fishing next week!

I hate you guys!
Those are some nice catches!

I'm sooooo, jealous of those bosnia fishing pics!

Ikkyo: What kind of trout were those?

Awesome thread!!! I'll be posting here often.

Heres a couple of my best ones from last year. easily over five pounds on a MH bionic blade with a citica D. (gotta try the new citica E's) from a small lake/pond in north Lansing.

Nice job with the rattletrap.

Grim, I look forward to more pics of fish, but they have to be from THIS YEAR:p

ok. ok. yeesh. Give me some time to upload a few to my photobucket account.

The orange Zing matches my MH 6'9" carrot stix very nicely!
Mostly smaller ones as the fat females were being a little stubborn and my girl was getting impatient.

This pic didn't turn out very well because of lighting but I think you can get the idea of it anyway. While catfishing last week my buddy caught this sturgeon.

Tonym- Not exactly on topic but i had a question for you boys south of the border. what you're calling "pickeral" in those pics we call "pike." pickeral is what we call "walleye" up here. not really a question, just wondering if that's what everyone calls pike down there? or is it something local to where you are?
thought i'd join in, here are some pics of me and some canuck pickeral. plus a shot of them at dinner time, there's nothin' like fresh pickerel to me. fried up with potatos and onion. Next time i'll find some where i'm not hungover and unable to smile.

A pickeral in the U.S. is not a Pike. We have Nortern Pike in the US as well as Pickeral or tecnically Chain Pickeral. They are in the same family though.

Here is what Wikepedia says a Pickeral is.
