I'm right there with ya. I tried Saturday and Sunday but high winds and sporadic storms made it miserable. My wife managed to land a good size rockbass off the dock at the marina. We fished about 20 minutes before a storm rolled in.

Sunday we hit the local river but the water was high, fast and muddy from all the run-off.

I'll be trying again this Saturday.

Congrats to everyone that are catching 'em.;) I'm jealous.

Those are some killer photos Ikkyo.

That 2nd pic is wicked and the detail in that trout pic is amazing!

Nice catch and great scenery!

The crappie should be starting up in a week or so here, and I can't wait. That also means the carp spawn will be on and its almost time to fling some arrows and clean up the water. Frog season is a little over a month away as well.

I just picked up a Quantum Catalyst PTi to put on my ultralight rod. Smooth as silk and I couldn't pass it up for the price.

Made it out fishing this afternoon!

Had a great time, too bad I was by myself. Its hard to take good pics of fish by yourself....

The Bass have moved on their beds. I caught mostly the smaller males, about 15 of them. I lost about 5 as well, 1 big guy right at the side of the boat.

Here's the lake

1st bas of the day.

Then a Pickeral

Smalles bass of the day

Sometimes it was hard to spot the beds in the murky water, but when you see cover like this; its a no brainer.

Sure enough!

another Pickeral, a lil bigger than the last one.

These were my biggest Bass of the year so far.

3.6lbs and all beat up looking

same fish

This girl went 4.11lbs

same fish

same fish

All fish were released right where they were caught.

Never seen anyone Texas rig for hammer handles :D. Nice fish.

We need to see some pics of the boat too. ;) Tin boats rock!

Chris

Thanks Chris,

I love fishing out of aluminum boats. If you look close, you'll se I gave that one a camo paint job!!

Finally have been getting on the fish the last couple weekends... Only two pictures, though. Been catching largemouth bass, bluegill, and yesterday found a few small crappie. Here are a couple decent bass. The knife is my Breeden wharny and is about 8 inches, for scale. The first fish is around 15, I guessed. (don't measure unless the bass almost pulls me into the lake!)

Thanks for looking

Awesome Bronzebacks Nick!

I got out this morning. The Huron river was still high, fast and murky. I opted not to take the boat out due to a constant 10 to 12 MPH wind that just isn't letting up.

Didn't catch any of the panfish I was looking for but I had the local pond almost to myself. The bass were biting early but turned off around noon so I hiked the local nature trail then headed home.

The bass were nothing to write home about but fun on my lightweight gear.

Caught a few more but they were even smaller yet. Caught one on a Roostertail, so small I don't know how he got all three hooks in his mouth. Couldn't have been more than 5".

Good to see you got out Rupestris! Any day fishing is a good day in my book.

Nick, those are some awesome smallies! Wish we had some of those around here. Largemouths are fun, but smallies are great and good eating too!

Nick, awesome smallies bro!

Rupe, nice job on the bass!

Cmon man, I go out in my john boats in worst wind than that!

i was 300 yards from my family farm pond this weekend. Damn cold front and rain kept me indoors...DAMN! :(
