Hi
mine lobbed in 2 days ago.
opened and checked by customs (gggrrrr).all good tho.
I concur with Willgoy apart from the bone colour which I like.
I'm keen to try the opener after all the criticism-(which is a good thing).
I stropped the blade on a leather belt at work last night and it shaves.
Basically its a beautiful piece of work-
thanks to GEC And the develpoment team at BF.
Andy -top job mate.
cheers.

I have had this beauty in my pocket since I received it. It's been nothing short of perfect! My goodness I am pleased. My thanks again to all that were responsible for this years project!!!

Hi folks -

Meako - good to hear you got the package!

babakanoosh - you made me hungry with the egg rolls!

Here is the map with all of the locations listed.

I did NOT use anyone's real address, I did use the street to locate the pin in the map if the street was big and did not point to where someone lives. If anyone wants a location to be removed from the map, just let me know and I will remove it.

Pretty impressive, but we missed South America.

Hi Jack -

Yep - and Russia, China, India, Thailand, UK, France, Italy.....

It only took 5 days for a package to go from Central Illinois to Japan, but over two weeks to parts of Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia. It also took 6 days for a package to get to Maine.

All in all, pretty impressive display by the USPS and foreign shipping services.

Just out of curiosity, how did you list/describe the knife on the customs forms/postal forums?

You will get hold ups with Australia because of customs, I used to get knives from the US in 5 days but took 2.5ish weeks before they were at my door.

The driver must have asked a local for directions: "Go down the Crooked Road. Take a left before the hardware store (which was torn down 8 years ago). Pass the yellow blinking light and take a left. Turn left before you reach the Maggie's Diner (torn down 15 years ago and the location has been occupied by a Kum and Go for the last 7 years)... best blueberry pie in the world. You'll be close to the post office (actually it moved from that location 10 years ago) when you see the lobster pound." ;) :p

It was well worth the wait! :)

Hi Ed - I listed them as "vintage style pocket tool with cap lifter" ;^)

That's pretty cool!
Thanks for putting that together

You are very welcome, sir!

Thanks Robert. I know at least a couple of the packages have landed in Oz.

Hi guys
Well its beer o clock round here.
I've got one left in the fridge and this will be a first attempt with the hitherto
virgin 2011 BF traditional .
Only 4 of these in OZ which I think is fairly cool.
There has been much criticism of the caplifter.
The camera operator & director of photography have just got in from school.
So lets just see
how bad it actually is.
cheers

Hahaha! Nice review, now go lift another cap for me. ;)
-Bruce

Cheers Bruce.
I believe that the three lift attempt came about from the fact that
it was the last one & the pressure was on to do it in one take.

Sure, Now do it again. J/K ;)
PS, When mine arrives, it'll be the only one in Nevada according to that google map.

Mine arrived yesterday. :)

I have to say that on initial inspection, it looks to be the best F&F of any of the forum knifes I own (I have been participating from the beginning, in case you're wondering).
The cap lifter may not be ideal, however I'd be happy to add more GEC knives to my collection based on this one.
