2011 Forum Knife Picture/Review Thread

Yes, it's surprising none went to Britain, would've thought one of their forums might have passed the word.

South America is the nut we need to crack next time as all other continents (except Greenland/Antarctica! covered)

I'll also add northern/central Africa and mainland Asia wouldn't that be great hehehe

I tried the bottle opener last night with fellow New Zealand forum member festerfromenzed, I cranked open the bottle frst pop, second bottle, one little slip then again a good postive open, third went well too.
I think it may have been wearing out...becuase the 6th and 7th took quite a few goes :D, no seriously folks, out of the 3 goes...absolutely no complaints at all about the performance of the opener.

Just out of curiosity, how did you list/describe the knife on the customs forms/postal forums?

I have shipped a lot of knives to Australia and Canada, one to Italy (made it but never again), a couple to Sweden, and to New Zealand (guess who). I've been forthright with the description and stated the brand and knife and never had any issues. I ship USPS Priority Mail Small Box exclusively, print my own shipping labels out of PayPal or Ebay, and Ebay prints the customs paperwork right on the label. I just drop them in the box too, no standing in line at the Post Office. If you fill the customs forms out by hand and stand in line at the Post Office, a person might change their mind about shipping outside of the country.

If the next shipper of knives wants any details on shipping from PayPal, just for the convenience of not having to hand write labels for the 2012 knife, let me know. Or, just printing them right out of the USPS Website (need to create an account and use a credit card) that is all pretty easy too.

No forum knives to the Dakotas, Wyoming, Colorado or New Mexico. C'mon man!

Me too. I wasn't there long, but you should see the looks on the faces of people when I tell them I was born in Enid.

What a knife!..
Heres a shot with Big Brother hangin' with the little Bros in the hood :D
All three ( I think ) unique to New Zealand

Hi Duncan -

Beautiful! I have the ebony RHK - love it! Charley is the man!

Your bone RHK looks like it has more red in the tint - I like that!

best regards -

Duncan, that Ebony is enviable. Really alluring knife there!

The others are well formed too, nice trio.

Cheers guys...as Andy has said...Charlie is the man, and I only have my mates here on the forum to thank for my knives...thank you guys.

It's hard to believe it has only been in my pocket three weeks. It's spent in total about an hour in my pocket while I walked through pouring rain in that time, though, and that certainly aged it. At least the edge is sharp and shiny :)

I have been surprised to find the part of the blade that is mirror to where the EO is cut is leash likely to rust. Opening it from there, I'd have thought the oil/sweat/etc. from my fingers would make it rust most in that area.

Hi Kreole -

Jeekers! That is a lot of patina!

I have carried mine every day since I opened it and mine is still shiny with no real patina.

Yours looks well loved, and has a great vintage look to it - thanks for the pic!

best regards -

Hi Jay -

My pleasure! I was interested to see one going to Manhattan - you are the only person on Manhattan that has one!

I just wanted to say thank you to Charlie (waynorth) as well for hooking me up with the 2010 and the 2011 forum knife. The 2011 knife is wonderful.
Thanks Charlie.
