I'm in regardless, but would prefer an English Jack, single blade hunter, or teardrop jack.

Well, the more time I spend here, the more my taste in patterns evolves. I'd like to see a Slimline Trapper, a Zulu or a Peanut, preference in that order. I'm open to different blade steels, but would like to see some nice amber stag for the handle.

I am so in on this! I would love to see a canoe as described earlier with a spear point and wharnie. Of course I am always in for a two blade Barlow as well. A larger GEC #25 would be ideal. A nice two blade doctors knife in D2 or 1095 would be sweet as well. A small coke bottle (3.5-3.75") would also be extremely rad. Ok, I think I have worn out my welcome on this one :). I am so unbelievably ex item about this.

Hi, I'm in whatever the pattern turns out to be, but would like to put my vote (for whatever it counts) in for slimline trapper (<4"), toothpick (<4") or a peanut, in that order of preference.

(New to this forum - hi guys!)

I'd like to see a peanut, partly because I don't have a peanut (please don't hit me) and I think a 2011 BFC peanut would be a good place to start.

A congress would be nice too, but I think there would be more expense involved which may steer some folks away.

Whatever the final choice is, I think it should be in the sub-$120 range to let as many people get in on it as possible.

I can't wait to see what we come up with this year and I know I'll be buying one. Can I just give someone my money now and expect a knife in about year? That'll suit me just fine.

Medium stockman by GEC,or
GEC small trapper w/ pen blade like the older Schrade Waldens..like a dogleg jack, or
Single backspring muskrat with swedged clips or hawbaker.
No half stops.

I'd like to see either a 2 blade Wharncliffe Trapper 3 1/2 or 3 5/8
Or a 2 blade Dogleg Jack! same size

I like the idea of the Canlow. But I would like to see a collection of the past knives to see what has already been offered. Anyone got one? I am not the most artistic thinker but I can do practical. I woould like to cast my vote for the following:

- Half Congress 4" closed
- Would like to see some other steel than 1095 or 440, maybe 154CM or S30V
- Pinched Bolsters
- Sheep's foot blade obviously
- Swedged Spear or a pointy pen as a second blade
- Scales would be bone jigged or smooth not particular to either one but I do like color
- Shield - Bomb or I really like the Case Arrowhead
- Brand Lets try GEC, I have heard good things :)
- Lets include a pocket sleeve with this year that includes the T-shirt logo

Trying to keep the knife under $100 could be hard to do with the Toenail. Keeping this one under $100 will probably be a tough one too but you never know. Maybe change the maker or the steel. But I really would like a pocket sheath included with it, don't really know why but it feels right.

A nice slim 1/2 Congress in jigged bone. 3 1/2" max, decent ss or D2. I'm in for whatever is chosen.

Samid,

Your vote counts equal to anyone's here.

Welcome to Bladeforums. Traditional is a wonderful subforum.

When I saw the first mention of a Scout pattern that caught my attention. That would be my first choice. Second choice would be the micarta Sodbuster that someone suggested.

Regardless I'll be in for at least one of whatever is chosen, even if its a Peanut. ;)

BTW: Gentlemen, thanks for taking on this challenge.

I also want to add, that a toe nail is not out of reach for $100.00 We are getting a great deal on these due to the nature of the forum knife business venture. If that is what you are thinking then vote toe nail. I have heard just this news today from a very credible source, that it is not unrealistic, so I myself changed it to my first choice. If it is cost prohibitive, then we deal it from there, we would find out soon enough to change direction.

I'm In. This will be my first Bladeforums knife. The Elephant's toe sounds pretty awesome. I've only recently become aware of them and face it-- you guys are going to have to do one sooner or later.:)
Now- are we talking sleaveboard or equal-end?:D

My other votes are for Large Folding Hunter or a Copperhead.
