You really dislike GEC dont you?
No, I don't dislike GEC. I have many knives made by them. I just don't like the way they screwed up the caplifter on the 2011 Forum Knife. People can sugar-coat it all they want but the GEC caplifter is defective.

The videos others have shown it seems to be working out, and GEC told me I can send it in if I wanted to (I haven't used mine yet) so its not like they are not accommodating us.
For the record, I used my imperial scout to open a lager last night and it took 4 tries...so knife cap lifters are just finicky.

GEC tooled up for an entire new pattern for us, got more knives completed and out to us faster than any other company to date, and you act like they deliberately made a non-functional tool as a personal insult to you. Get over it. I'll take the GEC caplifter over Queen "sharpening" any time.

Ken's two blader would be cool. It would also look good on a sleaveboard as well as an equal ender. Maybe a non-locking version of this knife...
...or a non-locking version of Ken's half whittler with a sheepfoot blade instead of the small clip. Btw, take a look at that well shot!!!

+1. At least the caplifter on the 2011 knife is sharper than a Queen main blade...
Get a dremel or some small rat tail files and fix it, or send it back and let GEC fix it.

I'm afraid i'm just not a fan of the toenail sunfish whaler style.
ALthoough... i did a see Schrade 51OT lockback spearpoint on the bay that i quite like the look of .
didn't care for the pricetag.Its got a big chunky blade but not so fat it looks like a duplo toy knife.
i'm fantasising about one with blue bone.

That sheepsfoot main blade Congress Jack is speaking to me. Or a half congress, what's the typical size range on those.

Forgot to add that I prefera nice natural handle material. A nice smoothly polished wood, with a nice grain, being the handles that always wow me. I could definitely appreciate some dark micarta, or even acrylic if it had a nice design that wasn't too busy...
