We're worse than a bunch of kids waiting on Christmas.

The take away for this years knife for me is the 3" blade length restriction - a restriction/requirement that has not (to my knowledge) been a burden for previous years knives. Yes, a couple of those knives it turned out had blades 3" or less but it wasn't a restriction/requirement when shopped. It automaticaly takes away the 3 3/4" and 4" frame choices and quite possibly restricts what manufactures are availabe for this years knife. Maybe it was done for the very, very, very, few who expressed a concern about a legal 3" blade length in their jurisdictions? Yes, a 3 5/8" Congress Jack looks nice - the one I've pictured above is 3 5/8" closed and the blade is exactly 3" long but a 3 3/4" or 4" Congress Jack just knocks your socks off.
This knife is so beautiful. There was one just like this that I thought long and hard about buying, but it was a little too expensive for me. If this years forum knife turns out like this I will be beyond happy.Yes, sheepsfoot blades typically ride high when closed on a slim frame but I think that is exaggerated on Congress Pattern knives because the bolsters fall away from the center of the frame. For my .02¢, the sheepsfoot blade riding proud on the 2013 Froum Knife is "much ado about nothing" as illustrated by the following pictures of one of my Congress Jacks.

Lord love a duck - it would be ashame not to have silver (nickle silver or whatever) pins on a knife with white/ivory/light colored covers. Why would anyone even consider brass pins??????? Edited to add: Brass liners would be acceptable - the knife I've posted has brass liners (silver would be nice) but for my .02¢ the pins should be silver.

I think sunk joints would be a nice detail, but they won't make or break the knife for me.
