2013 Case/Bose Collaboration

Thanks for digging this thread up! This looks like one of THE best collaboration knives from Case/Bose!!
 
I think they were announced at shot. They were at Blade though. Sorry, I didn't think to take a pic. They are definitely as nice as the previous colabs.

Thanks Jared. I knew it would be one of them but I don't remember seeing anymore pics since Kerry's.

What kind of handles did you see?
 
I saw and handled most of them. I saw ebony (my favorite), stag, abalone, antique bone, and chestnut bone. I had a chance to CE and CF one of Reeses WT's there as well and I think the proportions and design of the colabs very closely follow that of the originals.

So am I, Gus. The WT is my favorite pattern.
 
I hope I'm not breaking any rules, but after reading this thread, I went on case's website and found the master dealer list. I then called until I found one that had spots still available. Just put my reservation in for one.
 
Every year, I put my spot in with the same company. They usually have one reserved for me, based on whatever they get in house.
 
I pre-ordered one in stag today. I hope Case kicks their stag up a notch for this one!
 
has anyone found these on the internet yet? even if it is just to pre-order

i understand they have not shipped. iam trying to give my local dealer a part number

i haven't seen them listed online, but i'm sure there are a few companies on the case master dealer list that will be able to help

My local (two hours away) shop told me that he has been pleading with Case to get at least one of each annual pattern in his shop. He's talked to them by phone, at SHOT, had reps come through. No luck. If your shop hasn't gotten on the list yet, he probably won't be able to get one direct from Case. No reason to give up though.
 
How do pre-orders usually work? I've never done one. Is it a matter of a deposit then balance on shipping?
I'd like to get in on one of these. Wharncliffe is my favorite blade and the collabs I've seen on YouTube look amazing. I can't find how much these cost either. :confused: So long as they aren't an astronomical price I could see having one in my pocket. No way I'd buy one and not use it.

im guesssing each dealer would have its own policy regarding special orders
the previous ones ive bought have been in the neighborhood of $300
