2014 BladeForums Knife Gallery

I screwed up big time and misspelled Charlies paypal.:grumpy: If anyone has two and is willing to part with one please pm me. I really wish I would have stayed on top of my paypal account. The money sat there 30 days and then came back to me and I didn't know it until it was too late.:dispirited::dispirited::dispirited:

Here's mine. I love stag, and this one will be a user. The size is great. Where the 15 is a three-fingered grip for me, all four fingers fit around the longer 77 frame.

For a $76 knife...

BTW... Beat Georgia!

Ahem. As I was saying... The stag covers on mine are thin, and concave or dished, with minimal cragginess. The mark side stag is so thin, I don't know how they got it on without cracking it.

Rangers beat Raith 6-1. Got my stag jack knife. Now I just need the Hawgs to beat the Dawgs!

Many thanks to all who made this year's knife a reality. Your time, labor, and stag made this an extra special knife.

Mine arrived at the house this evening. Really came out beautifully! Great bit of popcorning in the stag, and very nicely matched and symmetrical. Nice work GEC and Big thanks to Charlie, John and Barry - and further thanks to Charlie for letting me work on the label. It was a blast.

Quick cell phone pics.

Not really seen one -so far-that I don't like- But this example is for me what stag is all about!!

Congratulations on landing THE Looker:D:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Well mine arrived just now. I really like the frame and the fit and finish is really good, but I am somewhat concerned about the stag that's on it. I am worried about the stag on the show side. It is so thin around the center pin that when you look at it from the top it is barely thicker than the brass liner. So what do you guys think, do I need to worry about the stag cracking around the pin?

I've got customs with thinner stag in the same spot. I've never had a problem with any of them.

I've been sitting here for days, watching and wondering. Well, the wait is over, and it was definitely worth waiting for.
Such a big debt of gratitude owed to everyone who made it possible - Thank you all!

While I was busy doing some fall pruning, the mailman had a little surprise for me:)

What a great knife! Thank You so much to everyone involved in this project!

I was pleasantly surprised to find mine in the mailbox today, thanks to all involved, this is the second year in a row I got the exact forum knife I wanted and it's perfect in every way.

I love the 3P etch it's just a shame that it's going to be obscured by the patina. ;)

Did you pay by money order or check?
Apparently they saved them for last.

No, paid via PayPal first day it went up for orders. No biggie as long as it shows...just anxious and hope one is on the way for me. I'm usually a 2 day ship from almost anywhere so surprised I haven't seen it.

Got mine yesterday, used it to skin squirrel today.

My two just arrived!

Positives: Both have great walk and talk, no gaps, and centered blades that are flush in the open and closed positions. Both have well matched covers but I especially like the figuring of the stag on the bottom one.

Negatives: The top one has a small crack on the pile side, and the bottom one's swedge grind doesn't taper off properly to the tip(just like the one Charlie posted at the beginning of the thread.)

Overall I'm quite pleased with both of them and appreciate all of the hard work that went into making this year's forum knife a success.

Carrying mine again today. I am having difficulty opening mine, but it could be a breaking in thing.

These are amazing! It's going to be really hard to pick a favorite. I'll be sending the other two just about halfway around the world.

I don't know Phil.... that center one is quite unique and very interesting to my eyes.

Great pictures Duane, can you imagine how happy that bird would've been had it come back to roost with the forum knife still there:p

I agree with xceptnl philllll, that center one sure stands out:thumbup:

I'm actually leaning towards the one on the right because it has nice lines on one side and popcorn on the other. The pile side of the middle one isn't as well color-matched.
