2014 Forum Knife

Hopefully there'll come a day soon when someone on the 'inside' will give an honest and frank account of what actually happened with the 2013 knife. Until that happens, all the guesswork and theorizing will be a depressing read.

Don't hold your breath, on that one.

In light of the following (also earlier in the thread), were you thinking of Shanghaiing the man, or did you have something else in mind?

Due respect (including for the man's excellent working relationship with GEC and the outcomes of their joint ventures) suggests we wait to see what's behind Frank's Door #3, The Countdown.

Please forgive me. It was a fatuous post aimed at levity which I hoped might raise a smile in these dark times(achieved?).
I have the utmost respect for Charlie and he has looked after me when I have purchased those beautiful SFOs from him..
Shanghaiing is not what I had in mind,"pleading" or "beseeching" would be more accurate:o.
I honestly believe the post was no less relevant or productive than any other in this thread which seems to be a bit of a dead end street. If it happens- great I'm in.
Anyhow if I caused a ruction I apologise.

Levity, what levity...non existent concept in these parts. When I've tried to implement that abstract and illusive thought, I instantly hear the 1MC blaring "Levity, levity...aweigh the morale suppression team...".;)

That said, have we agreed on the sodbuster?

Can always spot a fellow squid. LOL

OMG, after 1 year, you are the first poster that I have seen to actually post LOL. Perhaps a new Order should be established, like Order of the LOL LOL?:D Anyway, I take it that you agree a nicely tuned up sod buster would make a great Forum knife...say yes sailor.:p

Not much of a soddie fan, but I am in for one of whatever we choose.

A sodbuster would be great. Just my opinion.

bullnose or case? i'd like to see one in red delrin as its probably cheaper than horn or wood and would be distinctive. i know case has red delrin scales for their bsa knives. might be easy for them to do a SBJr in red?

Doesn't really matter. How about queen? Since I'm fantasizing anyways, I'd prefer micarta over delrin, but red is a fine color. Maybe a maroon...

Well, the Shanghaiing would have been more fun. Anyways, why does every post have to be relevant or productive? Fun is important too.

Hmmm, Just wondering...Just how traditional is G-10, derlin or micrata slabs? Vs. a natural material?

Tom

Celluloid and other synthetic materials have been around on knives for over a hundred years.
Micarta and G10 are newer, but they too have been deemed traditional.

I agree .But as my grandad used to say "It's all good fun till someone loses an eye!"-he was known for his irrelevant comments and only having one good eye.

Keep watching, if it goes off there will be plenty of warning.

Does anyone know how many of the GEC #74 Forum Saddle Trappers were made? Thanks in advance!

The Queen Country Cousin with D2 steel blade would make a fine 2014 Blade Forums Knife and I'd bet Daniels would be willing to do it for us, with our Blade Forums tang stamp of course, in order to get one over on GEC.

Of course there needs to be a poll first to at least determine what pattern the majority of the forum members wants.
