No probably not that but like at GEC we weren't able to see how they do the jigging on the bone or answer questions about how they dye the bone

Just tried to order and got an error!! I just noticed this thread (question why it's labelled "club knife" when we aren't a club- might make others bypass the thread as I did!!), so I'm glad I maybe got in on time!! Would be a shame as all my choices were picked excepting for the shield.

I'll try again after my next client. I really hope I get in on time!

It appears to have gone through with manual entering of cc info, but wouldn't accept the PayPal portal for me. Invoice# 0000001767

Thank you to everybody pushing the nuts and bolts of this project forward, the actual work you have done/do/will do is greatly respected. Now if you could do something about that damned exchange rate! Ouch!!😝

A tour

Here is Eric demonstrating the hafting of a knife he assembled. Look at those huge sanders!

Great to see the tour. You can really see that the knives will be handmade...and nothing fancy here, just great craftmanship. But could CSC give the guys better seats? looks like they were made with the left over crates that parts came shipped in.:p:D

Got my order in. This will be my first Bladeforums knife and I think it's going to be a beauty. One concern, when I completed the order process the final option was to print the invoice and continue shopping Well it let me continue shopping but never printed the invoice and I didn't write down the invoice number. Checked my e-mail and there wasn't a confirmation there either.

Just a word of warning to all the folks out there who bought a knife this year, especially if this is your first forum knife. When you get your knife you're going to want to take lots of pictures, (we all do when we get our knives just check out some of the "...show your 20XX forum knife" threads) being this is a single spring knife partially opening both blades at the same time for our pics is a common shot and looks really cool during of both blades.

The problem is it puts undue stress on the back spring and may cause a failure of the back spring, (notice I didn't say will) if you are going to take pics like that make sure that the blades are fully open, closed or on the half stops.

I've seen springs break or lose their tension as a result of this practice. You could do this a hundred times and never have dad problem but it only takes once to ruin your day and your knife.

This has been a public service announcement by an old timer on the Traditional Forum.

Thank you and have a knice day... :)

Don't worry; I have all the orders in hard copy and in an archived file.

While what you say is true, it should not be an issue unless the spring steel is harden to brittleness.

Thank you for the warning. I've never had a multiblade single spring. I'm not sure I'll be able to resist trying it a few times, but good to know I should not do it.

Not to mention, it's dangerous ;) I speak from experience of getting sliced open while trying to setup a knife for a photo, it wasn't fun!

Lol, everytime I setup a photo with the knife in this orientation (2, 3, 4, or etc. blades open)..... the only thing on my mind is not getting cut, right behind "whoa, that was close!" when my fingers almost get nick by the fully open blade trying to get the other blade into the half-stop position. :o :p :)

No liners on this knife right?

The specs indicate a stainless frame so I'm thinking that would indicate there will be liners.

From the original post:

"These spec's are NOT 100% correct, but they are close, and I will correct any errors.
Maker: Canal Street Cutlery
Pattern: Serpentine Double End Jack
Blade Style: Clip master and Sheepfoot secondary
No. of Springs: One
Blade Steel: 440C Stainless Cutlery Steel
OAL Closed: 4 inches
Covers: Exotic Bocote Wood with Pinned Short Bomb Shield and Bird's Eye Pivots

(I believe the furniture will be stainless as well as the frame)"
