Guys, I just talked to Wally at Canal Street Cutlery and got the uptown-lowdown on the 2015 BF knife.
Everything is progressing nicely; steel is ordered for blades and springs, tang stamp just arrived, scale material is in, and small parts are coming together. If everything goes as scheduled, we should start seeing the knives by the end of THIS MONTH! That's right! The end of August is when I should receive them, and I'll start shipping them out immediately, but it will take me a few days. The knives should be in your hands on or about September 1, 2015.

Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I would rather hear it now than keep being put off.If I could just interject a note from the trenches: That seems mighty optimistic, I'd look more toward mid to end of September. Blades have to be cut, nail marked and stamped, then sent out for heat treat which alone could take up to two weeks if they're backed up. Once we get them back we still have to grind them, and that's just the blades. Since we're already nearing the second week of August I'd say the latter part of September is a safer bet. I'll keep you updated with some WIP pics once things get rolling.

They'll be ready when they are ready, and that's good enough for me. I was originally figuring on not getting them till early December.
I agree, lots of things get better when you take your time...Yup. Take your time and no rush. Though I'm really looking forward to this knife!
