Way different deal. You would have to ask Charlie and Barry if 300 will be ordered irregardless. Personally, I would not bet on it.

Back to the 2015 knife...I ordered 2 so that I can keep the one with the best looking wood. The other may become a gift, or I may just keep it as well.
 
My first forum knife also.
So glad its handled in Bocote.
This will be my fourth knife done in this wood.

Ill be getting a good picture of the whole family once it arrives. :D
 
Nice guys, must be near to reaching that 300 mark so those that are on the fence...better jump off soon ;)

Also maybe a NEW thread with the WIP photos might be a good idea too? Should be seeing some of those photos soon if parts are underway ?

Just placed my order. 4" gave me some pause, but hey....it is a beautiful knife.

Good point Barry. I go for pocketable (slim) over OAL. The back pocket can serve there, especially in stainless :)
 
This knife will need a nice leather pocket sheath (for my pocket anyway). Probably will not start it until knife is in hand, but.... Since everyone pitched in on choosing features, should my pocket slip be just plain dyed leather, tooled, or text stamped with "Bladeforum's 2015"? And a glove leather lambskin lining, or maybe something with hair on?

So even though I've purchased a couple dozen knives the last couple months, can you tell I'm excited about this one?
 
How many do we have left? Also, will there be a countdown (e.g.) 20, 15, 10, 5, etc. when the time permits or simply we're SOLD OUT. :confused:

(P.S.) The countdown is probably wishful thinking, but it sounds fun. :)
 
Most likely it'll just be sold out, in part years we've had extras but I have a feeling these will be sold out without a countdown. If you're on the fence about getting one I wouldn't straddle it for too long or you'll be kicking yourself later.

Great advice..... :thumbup: :)

This would be my first forum knife purchase and I would like it to be special. Though, viewing everyones replies it definitely should be seeing as the people themselves (us the forum members) had so much to do with creativity and aspects of the knife.

Hopefully they take their time and do it right. They can take until January for all I care as long as the product is manufactured to the best of their abilities. :)

I missed last year's knife and I really wanted it. Funds were lacking. But I would love to have one now. So, the fence straddlers should either s$$$ or get off the pot. I was one of those last year.

Patience, Gary.... :):):) There probably isn't a whole lot to photo until assembly begins, but I'm sure ea42 will keep us up-to-date on production. Wally told me they had a bunch of orders to fill in September, and that's why he wanted to finish the BF'15 by the end of this month. Probably by now, the blades and springs are cut and in tempering, bocote scales slabbed out, and small parts coming together. Frames need to be made, bolsters attached, etc., before photos would be appropriate, otherwise it would be photos of boxed parts.

I guess, anyway.... :rolleyes::confused::o:D
 
I should add that the quantity is set and when they're gone, they're gone. :eek::eek::eek:

Buy soon, or be S.O.L. ;)
