Question: I would be shipping this to my dad in NY but he's moving address on the 1st of September, can I provide the address nearer the time to confirm there is someone there by the time it ships?

You can enter any name and address for shipping. If you put his old address and he does a 'change-of-address' with the PO, that should work as well, but could delay arrival.
 
Squashfan, the only photo I have is from the very first prototype, wrong shield of course. The blades will essentially be the same though, with the exception being that the nail mark on the sheepfoot will be on the opposite side:

Dangit! I was fine with the wait as I've got plenty of new toys to keep me busy. But this pic really made me antsy.
 
Thank you again for the photo. I opened this thread and was shocked to see that this years knife was made with stainless blades! I may have to find some money...

Dang Eric, I was cool waiting but now I see the sheepsfoot blade open I can't wait, this was everything I wanted this year, the bolsterless shadow frame, the small bomb shield and the stainless blades should satisfy the stainless fans :) ..... oh my, oh my, I haven't been this giddy since the 09 double stamped stag Queen/Schatt Morgan Barlow
 
Order placed. This is my first forum knife. The last pic showing the sheepfoot blade crushed all remaining resistance. Thanks to all for making this happen.

The first time I tried Paypal but the website refused the payment so I went back and did it again with a credit card and it worked fine. Problem with the system or with Paypal?

BTW, what will be the exact size. In this thread it is 4", shrinks to 3,5" on the order form. I don't mind the size (already said that sometimes), just curiosity. There's place for any in my pocket.

Depends on the humidity. Barehead knives are known for their length volatility.

Better get your order in fast! There is a cap of 300 total and we might be getting close by now.
 
I too wasn't expecting it to come earlier then Nov/Dec, and I'd much rather have it end well, so it's gets here when it gets here!
 
I am wondering if the 300 will be built regardless, or will there be a cut-off if it looks like 300 will not be hit with production about to begin?
 
I believe they will make the 300 even if there were only 283 ordered (just as an example).

I was able to get the 2013 forum knife a couple months ago by contacting Spark since I saw a post that there were some leftovers.

That was a totally different 'regime', if you will.
I can't imagine a repeat of the 2013 knife would be a good thing at all for the future of the franchise.
 
It wasn't that bad was it! I actually like it a lot since its something different from all of my knives. It's the only Congress pattern I own.

I didn't know that years' knife was handled differently. I wasn't around then. Oh well, I tried to give a logical answer. Someone else will be able to give you more information I'm sure.
