I talked to Wally (the big Cheese:D) today and he said he'll do some WIP pics when he has more interesting stuff to show.
The tang stamp and shield tooling are in progress!! And they are cutting handle material. I am starting to feel the buzz!!;)
 
Awesome. Pretty sure everyone here would find it all interesting to see though

I worry that 300 are being made and only 75% are spoken for. That is still a fairly good chunk of change. I don't want to expose anyone involved to a financial risk. It is just hard to anticipate how things will play out.

I wasn't complaining about the money by the way. I missed last year because I simply did not have the loose money at the time you needed to order. I regret that, but I have plenty of knives.

I'm sure when the photos of the final products and the first reviews start showing up, the others will not last long!
 
Nice, that will help move things along I'm sure! almost the end of August here, about to break into Sept, you can almost smell the grinding dust in the air ;)

So what do most of you intend to do with this knife? Will it be a user, only for display, kept in a particular collection such as with other blade forum knives?

Hoping it's going to last me at least a decade on my belt. Literally. It's a great looking and spec'd knife for a user. I'll allow the prettier knives to languish, this one is going to work for a living.
 
Definitely a user. I don't have many that aren't though, especially folding knives.
 
This will be a user for me. The majority of knives I buy now make their way into the rotation eventually with only a few specific purchases being kept unused.

Good question, but I have no idea. I carry just about every new knife at least a day, a week, or two. But since I have a compulsive knife buying problem, it takes something pretty special to stay in the pocket for too long.

I will be making a leather slip for this one, so hopefully I won't ding up the wood much with use. But I may just do like many here, and just buy two. One to try out, and one to keep pristine.

And I'm totally bummed that I didn't get in on last years knife. That stag jack just screams "sexy" to me. So sad to have missed out on it. :( I'm a total sucker for Stag and Jack's/Barlow's.

Definitely EDC it, should be a nice size to carry and use.

Mine will see light use. Definetly not EDC for awhile.
But, im fresh and new to the knife game and right now all my small blades are kept nice and pretty. :D
 
I probably won't use mine immediately after I give it a general inspection. It is however right in the size area that I prefer, so we'll see how I feel once I receive it. Been debating about ordering a second, which would reduce any anxiety over using a collectable. I chuckle at that word as I have no collection, only an accumulation.

Add it to my forum collection, sharpen it right away and immediately start carrying it like all the others, the only thing I won't do with this one that I've done with most of the others is start a patina. ;)

It'll take it's spot on the right, when it's not in my pocket... :)
