No anxiety here, but any pictures of them being made would be really cool to see.

This is what I do as well. Order and forget about it. A few months will go by and a nice surprise will be in the mailbox.
This is one of the best parts! I will just get two knives in the mail one day that were paid for long ago, it's like Christmas early:)

I'm sure things are moving along just fine, one thing I learned with the forum knife is order it and forget about it. It'll get here and impatience only causes anxiety. :)

There ya go.

We have had some great labels in the past, but what gets me is the knife. I have only one of two forum knives that you folks trusted me to organize. (I had two of the "ring" folders and ended up giving both away very reluctantly, but do have/use the rest we have done.) Call me a mush-head and I will not argue with you, but these annual forum knives mean a lot to me, becuase of the relationships that came about from this particular forum. Started this tradition, never got the pattern I really want, but that does not matter to me because I could not be happier that we have kept this "tradition" going. I personally treasure these as much as knives that have been made for me by friends.

Just want to thank all who participated. Especially those who have taken the time to organize it. I know it is work, but the satisfaction of getting these knives in the hands of others some around the world can be pretty satisfying. I may be a little jaded, but my favorite so far has been the 2009 barlow and knowing that there are some spread out around the world is pretty cool. I smile about it now, although at the time, I was dealing with a 100% window shaded on both ends torn achilles. That was a ride and the folks who ordered and patiently waited still mean a lot to me.

That's a favorite for sure Gus, the hardest ones are the best, the one knife that exemplified the phrase you can't make everyone happy...

I'm in for the long run with these knives, I'll sell blood, even my own if need be to get the Traditional Forum's knife each year, I carry each of them religiously for the first year and then they get added to the following years pics so I'll always have two forum knives in my pocket most days... :)

I didn't know you preferred a different pattern, amigo.

What pattern would you like to see produced?

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The drkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep

Gus, I remember wishing I could go help you ship those Barlows off!
It seems that as long as we get them out in time for people to send or give them for Christmas time, that was the guiding idea.
Because I do Special Order knives, I know it is the usual procedure to wait, sometimes a year or more, for the factory to get to them!
Hard to ask people to wait for a long period, but it happens every year, of necessity.
Be patient my friends!! CSC has promised to provide interesting pictures. And when it begins, it will suddenly speed up!!

Gus, that 2009 was special to me also. I was just recovering from heart surgery, and couldn't leave the house. I almost missed ordering that knife. I only got the one, so it doesn't get used, but it sure is a beauty!

Gus those early knives meant the most, the 08 Northwoods was another beauty, the covers on that knife were beautiful.

The 07 CSC Cannitler is probably the most unique knife in the last 10 years and probably the only gotten knife that never spent more than a month in my pocket.

They're all special and each one has a history I pass on whenever someone comments on the nice old knife. :)

The concept of the forum knife is amazing. This time last year I had no idea the forum existed or that there were so many fantastic passionate people that talk and share every day about knives.. just incredible. I cannot wait to own this small piece of the collective. Cheers to all of you that made this possible.

The `09 Barlow is one of my favorites as well !
The Stag was donated, just like lasts years Bladeforums Traditional knife. A unique bolster stamp in Roman Numerals, D-2 blade steel and I do believe the very 1st knife EVER to bare both the Queen tang stamp and the Schatt & Morgan. It's just a GREAT pocketknife !! GREAT user, I bought two and set the one with the nicer Stag aside...... but alas it ended up moving to the Great White North in a trade for another rare beauty!

Gus and me did the work for the knife that year. I like the blade configuration the best, that and the big GEC model from 2012....a nice clip point and wharncliffe do most of the work that needs doing from a traditional slip joint, imo.

I wish the fella that donated the stag the best in life, and hope everything is good for him!

The stamp on the 2009 was designed in Photoshop and pretty much reproduced EXACTLY by Queen Cutlery.

A pivotal knife with all kinds of neat history, from the dual stamped tangs, (Queen on one blade Schatt Morgan on the other) to the donated stag which made a great knife even better and saved quite a bit of money on that years knife. Even the bolsters were unique incorporating the year and BFC acronym, a truly classic knife with some modern touches like the D2 steel in the blade.

You guys did a bang up job that year,(like every year) especially with all the issues in choosing that years knife and still it was a success producing one of the group's most sought after forum knife.

Here's another look at 09's Barlow... :)
