idalcom whenidcomes, idalcom whenidcomes, idalcom whenidcomes, I just keep repeatin' the same mantra.

Yay again. Absolutely perfect. Amazing wood color and grain variation. Wha hooo. Thanks to all who made it happen. I know most of the real work happened outside of our view. Everyone is going to be very happy.

yeah, I really like the simplicity of this knife. I hope I don't find it too large for carry.

Mine just arrived.
I am very pleased. Knife is just about perfect in every way.
Outstanding fit and finish.
Excellent walk and talk.
Excellent grinds and shaving sharp.
Beautiful wood.
Clip does NOT strike backspring.
Great knife!

Just got mine and wow. Well made, even more beautiful in person and smooth as a baby's ass. The whole package is too notch. I want to use and I don't want to use it, decisions, decisions.

No one's mentioned one of the coolest details on this knife - Make sure you look under the box top...thank you Charlie!

mine arrived today despite consecutive days of freezing rain.
I like it - especially the character marks in the wood - mine actually has small knots in both scales.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention. I totally missed it. It makes the knife that much more special.

I never even thought to look!!! Only a few more hours at work and can check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

Mine came today. I got one of the recurve ground blades, with uneven grind on one side. It also hits the backspring, and has the chip in the blade to prove it. I could sharpen it out, of course. But it went in the safe, and will probably stay there until the family has a yard sale after I'm dead and gone.

I'm right there with you. Mine sounds very similar. I appreciate and like the knife and will probably carry it occasionally for the sheep's foot and stainless. Parts of it are nice. Cool to have one of canal street's last knives. Makes me appreciate GEC a lot more though.

Received mind on Friday. It is better looking in hand than the pictures I've seen and larger than I had envisioned. Mine has a very slight recurve that could easily be removed by sharpening, which I may do. I also have a slight compression chip in the main clip blade where it hits the spring. The secondary blade makes contact with the liner and displays a tad of roughness on the swedge. The sheepsfoot shaves hair; the main blade doesn't. The blade grind symmetry of the clip is quite nice; the symmetry on the secondary is not.

Bottom line for me: A beautiful knife. I love the color and grain of the covers. The larger size is a plus for me. The fact of what this knife is; the entire process from conception to completion and being crafted by an historic traditional cutlery company whose doors are unfortunately closing, makes this knife for me, a family heirloom.

We have a family heirloom and a yard sale knife within a few posts. I'd say this is officially the internet

I did yesterday morning in the "2015 Forum Knife Photos" thread.

Mine arrived in the mail yesterday. Beautiful knife in a steel I really like. Outstanding packaging with the incredible label and the note on the interior of the box top.

I still haven't decided what to do with mine. I'm of the opinion a knife is not truly a knife unless it is used as intended. Not sure I'll use this one.

The main blade shaves hair on the knife I received not that it is what it will be used for. Lol. Funny that was what I tried within the first 5 minutes.

I did notice the sheepsfoot rubs the main blade, don't think it is an issue more caused by the blades being so long in a slim frame or common in this pattern someone with more knife experience would have to answer. This is not meant as a complaint or picking just trying to learn more.

I agree completely with the bottom line comments. Now the decision of carry or not and keeping from my son, he is eying it.
Thanks again to everyone and all the work that went into the knife.
Dave
