440C - it's time for a stainless forum knife, and I've got tons of 1095. I'm good with either though, and will be in for (at least) one no-matter what is chosen.

Wow! When I voted in the poll much earlier, it looked like 440C (my vote) had no chance on this planet, but check out now...a near 20% advantage. Goes to show that many times the game isn't over until the last out is recorded. Hmmm, I wonder how many inning are left in the Carbon vs Stainless game?

Agreed. Frank must really be working the phones. ;):D
I'd be happy with either choice.

It would be nice to try a forum knife in stainless!

Thanks Charlie -

I voted stainless, but either one will be fine with me. So far stainless is slightly ahead, but it's still too early to make the call.

I cast my vote for carbon. I want a knife I will use, and I want it to be easy to sharpen.

BTW, the poll doesn't show up in the Tapatalk app. I had to come to my computer to vote. No big deal, just an observation in case anyone else was confused.

This was a tough one. I'd be happy with either but voted for 440C for a convoluted reason. I'm hoping that micarta will win out as the scale material. Stainless works best with micarta in my head since both are "idiot-proof" materials. Wood works with either stainless or carbon.

440c in the lead! It was pretty far behind when I voted I am glad it is gaining traction

A vote for stainless. If it's made in 440C or 1095, doesn't matter, both companies do a great job with both and I'd be happy with either.

Last year there were over 300 people in the voting,it could be a while.

Best regards

Most of the time I sit in the stadium enjoying the game not too concerned with game length. This time I get to spend a little time down on the field.
