I am fine with either choice, but the voting button did not have this, so opted for 440C. Whatever the steel, this will be my first forum knife, and am all excited!
 
I've been following the discussion on the new forum knife closely and all of you are awesomely educational, thanks! Last year's knife was a home run and I can't wait to see what comes out of this year's debate.

I vote 440C because I also need a summertime knife to carry at work that won't rust in my pocket.

One more for 440C. Not worried either way so my vote is with those whose posts I've enjoyed reading.
 
I'm happy that the stainless crowd is gaining some ground this year! Frank, your dreams may be coming true!

440C Stainless

Rounding off, it is currently 58% 440C and 42% Carbon Steel.

I'm in for the forum 2015 if the stainless comes true!

Although I prefer carbon steels, I agree with others that it would be nice to have stainless on a forum knife just for some diversity. I am in no matter what. Looks like we are heading in a good direction too. The examples we have seen are very attractive to me.
 
It's nice to see the 440C getting some support. I am especially glad to see a straightforward poll that didn't divide up the stainless crowd by offering a bunch of different steels, or don't care, and thereby diluting that voting segment. Well done Charlie! :thumbup:

They do it well

We have only had carbon in the forum knives
