2015, the snarkiest year yet!

Nice! You always seem to find something worth walking out with. The one's around here are awful. At the last one, I actually witnessed a couple of guys buying out all of the 22lr from one dealer ($25-$30 / 500 pack) and transferring it to their tables and sticking $75 on the tag. The guns tend to be priced similarly.

Ain't been to one in a couple years, it was during the "scare" so everyone was buying like crazy and there wasn't anything I wanted. Always on the lookout for unusual and cool. Or just decent and cheep. I want to get another H&R 12 gauge to put a survivor stock on and shorten the barrel.

Ha! OK....I'm not sure what I was thinking. :)

I'm currently testing 9mm's to see what I like. When I started with handguns, it was all 45, so I've pretty much stuck with that. Now I picked up a 357 and am thinking about a 9mm for easier loading / higher capacity. Recommendations welcome...

My dad has a Ruger SR9. Awesome pistol. If you want something to conceal try an LR9.

Sorry to hear of your friends loss JT.

In other news, I have formed a final opinion on the Limburger cheese, I finished the small block I purchased yesterday for lunch, and found that its best when you cut the outside off of it. The middle part is actually quite delicious, I will be buying more. Might even bring some to the spring gathering, its not like pungent smells aren't common there anyway!

IWI Jericho
Beretta m9
Glock 19
S&W m&p
SIG 226 / 8
CZ ...uh crap I forgot the model...but a nice gun non the less.

Id hold them in the hand before you buy to see which one you like the best

Thanks...can't stand that gun. Ruger triggers tend to drive me nuts, except for the one on my Mark II.

The M9 and M&P are on my short list. I had a CZ75 in .40 that I sold because they had feed issues that never were resolved. However, I really liked the feel of it, so it may go back on the list. I have a good range a mile away that has a well-stocked rental case. I've slowly been going through their stock, which is how I got the M9 and M&P on my list of options.

And I used to toat the .40 M&P for work. The interchangeable palm swells are great! The tritium sites are great too if you get em ;)

I'd pick the CZ P-01 or one of the Sigs. I like the single-stack Sig 9mm, but it's long discontinued. Good carry size without being tiny, for those who have permit/cause to carry.

I'll vouch for the accuracy of the M&P 9mm. Never had a malfunction in it either. That's the one typically on my hip.

I carry an XDS 45, so this would be more for the range/house.

I believe folks who do this should have the entire brick shot into their extremeties so that they die slowly....

According to one clerk a a local Academy Sporting Goods store, employees of at least one local gun shop used to show up at opening time and buy the 2 brick/box limit of .22LR to then take back to their stores to sell at inflated prices... Another reason that I tend to avoid gun shops as well as gun shows.

I believe you were recalling bigghoss finding some deals, but they were at gun/pawn shops as opposed to gun shows.

So many good choices, and it depends on purpose - concealed carry, house gun, range toy, etc... An established model from a reputable maker is never a bad choice.

Whats up fellers? Hope everyone has a good weekend and stays warm. It got in the 40's here. It felt good walking my daughter to school in shorts and flips. You should see Floridians get bundled when it drops below 50! I'm excited to use the new firepit we got, this weekend.

I grew up in New Orleans. They'd forecast temps below 40 and everyone would start breaking out the arctic survival gear.

Same thing when I was stationed in Okinawa where it rarely ever gets below 40. The locals were bundling up while guys from WI and MN were still running around in T-shirts.
