2015, the snarkiest year yet!

There is a bunch of Becker goodies on the 'Bay right now, bk77 (s30v), brute, patrol machete, blackjack bk4 (pricey).

I guess it was a busy Christmas season for a lot of people...

Dang, only $118 for the BK6...with 6 days left to go...

I'm waiting for someone's Christmas bills to come in and them put up a BK16 signed first run.

And on the same token, it isn't really fair to call yourself "stronger" than me if you can Bench 200 and I can only do 150, you also weigh roughly 100 pounds more than me. That is were the BMI's and stuff play in.

You get what I'm sayin' It's all relative, and it's nearly impossible to pin down just based on age/height/weight.

6'3", 250# sounds pretty dang impressive on paper, if you're talking about a 24-yr-old NFL linebacker or defensive end. Watch my 44-yr-old ass walk out to the podium with no shirt on... naw, not so impressive :p

My point is mainly that I don't give a hoot about being "stronger than you" just to swell up my ego... or grinding a knife faster or starting a fire quicker or any of that stuff. I'm not "competitive" in that way. I think it's silly. That's the sort of thing people with small opinions of their own minds do, to distract themselves from whatever is really holding them back.

Now, if we were both trying out for the same position on a football team or trying to knock each other out in a barfight, that's a different story. That's a clear and immediate goal that may have serious repurcussions about me having a job or even waking up tomorrow morning. So at that point, all numbers and formulas are out the window.

Yeah, BMI's don't really matter when it comes to any sort of "Real" stuff. LOL However, I am competitive in such ways, but that is mostly my youth and I should grow out of it.... BTW, you spelled repercussions wrong. :p

You realize, of course, that kinda smartassery is not going to work in your favor over the long haul. There may be serious repercussions for that kinda thing, when you least expect it... sooner or later you'll be at another show or Gathering and ask me for another favor, or to test a knife, or for me to grind or sharpen your knife for you again, or try to place an order... :grumpy:

I know I'm really considering it, but I don't have a use for a machete, pluse the Yuma kinda drained me for awhile

I'm holding out hope that Ka-Bar will eventually bring it back. Until then I'll have to make due with my grass machete, crocadillian machete, bushcraft parang, tamontina, ontario 12", and marble's 14". And in the near future a parangatang and BK21.

Has there been any mention of price point or date they will be available for order on the RBK??

Im holding out for one of them... But also want a parangatang too.

So many knives and not enough money.

Two weeks to shot for the official release. And you know how Ka-Bar can be getting new blades to distributors sometimes. The wait for the BK10 was painful...

You realize, of course, that he is a 14/15 year old boy that is still growing and learning how to carry himself in a world of grown (and professional) men.

He's been doing VERY good lately, and I don't know if anyone has mentioned it to him, but I was actually quite proud of how he has settled down and been behaving lately.

Plus he taught someone the proper spelling of repercussion! :D

Thank you! It may have to do with the fact that I haven't been very active lately, and I seem smarter when I don't talk/post...;):D

Yeah, no. I'm fairly certain that Mr. Terrio knew how to spell repercussions correctly. He's a pretty smart feller....
Not gonna lie, I was actually pretty upset about Little Jimmy Dickens passing.
Yeah, but he saw a ripe old age....
