The back of the punch blade has been rounded off slightly.

This photo is out of focus and the angle is a little wonky, but you can see there is more clearance room now. (bottom knife is of later batch)

I don't see any difference on the swedge grind, really, although some may be a little different. The bottom knife is of the first batch.

Got my shipping notice. 👍🎊😀

That will make three knives I'm waiting on this week. Two Schrade USA Barehead Oldtimer Trappers and now the Forum knife. Thanks to everyone who made it happen and worked on the kinks.

Amazing that the knife was still there at all!:confused::grumpy:

Send it back to me for replacement. :):):)

I agree great customer service!! ! Thanks so much. I also sent you a contact through your web site asking about the process.

It Ill see if I can make it to the post office before it closes after work tomorrow.

What's ironic is the wonderful little baggy the USPS puts the remains an delivers it in. I took a picture and will post it for all to see tomorrow.

FYI the awl or punch works smooth.:cool:

LOL. Oh well such is life. Just have to shake my head and laugh it off.

these things get trapped in the machine feed and didnt get pulled out in time :( in elementary school they took us to a USPS major processing center and I was amazed by how large it is. Mostly sorting, the mail just shoots through

This is something I worried about when I returned mine to GEC for the punch mod. Return instructions called for return in the tube. Wish they hadn't. I shipped it back in an express mail box to lessen the chance of damage 50%. Three trips in an envelope seemed like tempting fate.

This absolutely. I never ship hard items in an envelope of any value. Items of value always go in a box with some sort of padding to keep it from touching the edges. Not that boxes cant get caught and crushed but I worked in a distribution center with miles of conveyors and it was 99/100 the soft items that always got caught and destroyed.
