A family pic, 2006-2016 :)

Yowza! You have a beautiful family there.

So, again I ask: anyone, aside from me, receive a knife without the triple p etch?
Thanks, Neal

Thanks Barry for the quick turn around on Replacing my BF knife package. Functions perfectly!

You're welcome! Enjoy your knife!!! :D:D:D

All of the modded punch knives I've checked have worked perfectly; has anyone had a problem with their factory modded knife, other than you didn't get it back yet?:confused:

Barry, I know I've over posted this, but why no triple p etch on my knife? And is there any way to prove it came this way? Sorry about the whining.
Thanks, Neal

I suppose the etch was overlooked at the factory during production. I'm sure you can send it in and they'll etch it for you if you like, or send it to me and I'll replace it, assuming it is still in factory new condition. ;)

Still waiting for GEC to return my knife with the mod. Driving me slightly crazy.

Hang in there, Bill. I only got the notification that mine shipped because I have a USPS Dashboard account. It automatically notifies me when a package ships to my address. Even if I don't know about it in advance.

GEC did not notify me that my knife shipped. USPS notified me of a package from Titusville and nobody in my household bought anything from there so it has to be my knife.

That doesn't necessarily mean yours shipped too of course, but at least we know they are working on the returned knives.

Thanks Phil, It looks like they rounded the edges from a flat grind to a convex grind, mine was fine, I'm not sure if it came from the first batch and I just got lucky or if it came from the end batch that were fixed before assembly. Either way I'm plenty happy with this years knife and have no complaints. If I had to have one it was that it wasn't hair shaving sharp outta the tube but I woulda sharpened it to my taste anyway so it really wasn't an issue. :)

+1. And I'm keeping it. But let it be recorded in the annals of history: mine came without the triple P. (Still works dem fine though :D). Thanks for the offer Barry, and I promise not to be such a pain in the tuchas.
Thanks, Neal
Ps-who hasn't poked themselves with that pointy toothpick?!?:D:rolleyes:

Not me, I poked myself first thing and several times since. All that I've looked at are super sharp!

Everybody that had an order in should have received theirs by now; if you haven't, please contact me and I'll check it out. So far, only one knife has been damaged in transit, and really, it was just the packaging that was destroyed as the knife was still nearly perfect. I rubbed the bolster scuffs out on my jeans and am now carrying that beauty!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Guys, I still have about 30 of the 2016BF knives left, and I need to move them so Charlie and I can close the books on this year's knife, so if you wanted one and didn't get it due to the punch issue, rest assured that the issue is totally mitigated on the remainder of the knives, and if you are one of those who wanted two or more but didn't want to short others on a chance, go ahead and feel free to buy another!

Thanks again to "The Porch" and all of the BF community for your continued support on this effort. This is our knife, and in spite of some minor issues with the first batch, I still believe this years model will be a future classic. :D:D:D:D

I can never decide whether to post in this Sticky thread or the other one.

I got my Bladeforum Drover back from GEC today and it could not be better! Well okay, maybe the unmodified punches might ream out a hole slightly better but I'm 100% satisfied with this bad boy. I didn't take any before pictures but I'm pretty sure I got the same knife back. She's a sweety!

Barry, your words of encouragement to buy a second one are eating away at my will power. Let me get this new gutter installed on the east side of my house and see where I'm at then. I sure would like another one.

Thanks again to all involved!
