2016 Shot show, Eric Glesser shows some new models!

This seems to be the year of the compression lock (which I wholeheartedly support). Sage 5, ATR, Ouroboros, Minuteman, Lil' Temp 2, lots of Shaman rumors. One of my favorite locks and I'm definitely digging this trend.

Good video, thanks for posting that.

Small Vallotton is quite interesting. Did not see that one coming!

Still drooling on the Ouroboros.

It sure looks like 2016 will be a year of many Compression Lock releases!

Haven't heard much about Lil’ Temperance 2 since the 2015 Amsterdam Meet.

Here's a list of current and upcoming Spyderco folders with Compression Lock:

  1. ParaMilitary2
  2. Szabo folder
  3. Yojimbo2
  4. WolfSpyder
  5. ATR
  6. Sage 5
  7. Minuteman
  8. Ouroboros
  9. Lil’ Temperance 2
  10. Shaman

Could add Shaman to that list, although no one seems to know its' release status (like Minuteman and Lil Temp 2).

Eric mentioned on the Mamba that they did some fancy work to the blade to get a high polish look. Wonder why they just didn't go with XHP. I've never seen a SS polish up so nicely.

I think he was mentioning that the custom had a high-polish contrast, not the production version. Since they couldn't polish it, they coated it instead.

But yeah, I wonder which is more expensive; the coating used on S30V, or polishing XHP?

It's awesome to see Spyderco is still committed to innovation and constantly improving quality control! Has anybody seen what the Pattada looks like when closed?

What makes the ATR so desirable?

What Speed said, for sure. But I'd add that the original featured an integral compression lock, which was downright awesome. The ergos on the ATR are phenomenal given just how slim the knife is. The blade is a BEAST, also surprising given the slimness of the handle. And, at least in the originals, it has incredibly smooth action. The best I've handled out of any knife.

I am SO excited for the ATR. Gonna get two. One's going straight to Steve. :D

Great new lineup again this year. Those who know.............. ATR , yes.....

The Wolfspyder also features the compression lock. Also I don't know why but I am strangely called to the Vrango. Is it a Sirens Call gents?
