This is turning out to be an amazing knife, in specs at least. Only thing that would make it better for me is if it was on the 303 frame. I've been carrying a Case mini trapper for most of the last 9 months, so the 301 will be a step up in size. Who knows, maybe I'll like it better. Getting excited about the prospect.

Can't imagine there is 157 guys waiting to vote that will turn the tide. If the pins poll is a wrap, can we call this one a wrap as well?

Hard to imagine a now-162 surge in smooth votes and not a single extra DK vote . .

Not that it matters but I've decided not to vote anymore.
Nothing wrong with the process and kudos to SK -great job, well done.
It's just that it's turning out to be something I've ended up deciding I wouldn't enjoy having.
So since I won't be buying, I won't be voting anymore.
Not that it isn't turning out to be a very cool knife, because I feel it's gonna be a great Forum Knife for sure.
It's just that personally, I would have liked to see some design features go in another direction and I'm starting to feel like it would always be a compromise for me.
So anyway, I'm out and I hope everyone who gets one, enjoys it. It's just not for me.

Ditto, I had no vote go with the choice I had made, I always told myself "OK I can live with that" but I think if I got it I'd always view it as what could have been. Oh well, maybe next year :D

I might be with you after this poll. Elk was not my first or second choice, but I like the smooth enough to buy one. I'm afraid that if I put this thing on a belt grinder to thin it down that I'll screw up the bolsters. That would be just stupid. Maybe I should hope for a thinner one and try to trade it if I lose that lottery. That's a PITA. I'm kinda on the fence now. Disappointing to get so close to something I really like and then see it veer into the weeds at the last second ...

Same here, which is disappointing because with me having just joined in April, this would have been my first opportunity to get in on a forum knife. I just came in on the losing side of nearly every option, with the no shield decision being the final nail.

I’m sure the execution will be well done, and the resulting knives will be a hit for those who partake. The overall design has just ended up too far outside of my personal preferences.

Enjoy!
