2018 BF Knife Poll X: The Final Say

No matter how SK chooses to tally the grooves vs non grooves votes someone is going to be upset and the whining will commence. How about we just let the chips fall where they may in this (stated in the title) final poll and be happy with the (either way) amazing knife that we will get for an insanely low price? We don’t want him to run away in future years when we are trying to arrange our annual knife!!

You're right, but I don't know why. It's been stated over and over that all non-groove votes are added and all groove votes are added and the highest total wins. It couldn't have been made more clear. I think people must not be reading the whole thread before commenting. Boxes are out. Slips are out. The poll is now about the grooves. Period.

I've debated for awhile as to whether nor not to put this pic up - not sure if it might be of any help or serve any purpose.
Anyway, FWIW - here it is. Hope it is of help, somehow. Obviously the width and color of the Jasper are distracting, but if you ignore that, you can get some kind of an idea of how a grooved bolster might look.

May have been cleaner to post two polls

One for the groove

Another for the actual packaging as grooves doesn’t have a relation to the packaging

But it is almost done and as others have mentioned either way it should be a very nice knife!

Just wanted to say that imho our knife is going to be something special. Either way you voted.
SK did a great job with the way the voting was presented. I say that because I have received some beautiful Buck’s from him in the past.
Can’t wait to order a couple of these for my family!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this whole 2018 BF knife process has produced the least amount of bickering and complaining that I can remember for the last few years. I really enjoyed the way SKBlades handled everything, and kept everyone up to date every step of the way.

WRONG! This has been the most bickering I have seen... of course, it is the first one I've been a part of so I might have a different opinion after the 2019 battle of the BF knife

Guys and Gals, this has been a serious addiction for me. I'm going to feel withdrawals when the polls are done. Going to have to do something similar in the Buck Forums to get my fix! It has been incredibly fascinating to watch the progress of the knife and get to know everyone as much as you can through a process like this.

It could be worse. At least you don't have to replace the fridge/freezer. Those daRn things cost a lot more than a water heater.

Really? At the end of the day it's the knife that counts for me, not the boxes et al. And it DOES/WILL look better grooved
