I’m getting pumped up for this. Sorry to post a family picture, but this is the only picture I have of myself. I’m the dad in the middle of the pic. If anyone here recognizes me at the Rendezvous please introduce yourself and let’s talk about some knives.View attachment 960698
You have a lovely family! I won't be at the Rendezvous, but couldn't resist commenting. Maybe someday I'll get to go!I’m getting pumped up for this. Looking good Ken. I hope to be able to see you and your collection in person. I would drive the five hour trip just to see those 26’s and that 38 Splitback whittler.
Thank you. I’ll try to share some of what I see during the Rendezvous. I hope to meet you in Titusville maybe in 2019.You have a lovely family! I won't be at the Rendezvous, but couldn't resist commenting. Maybe someday I'll get to go!
Thanks Ron. I hope to meet you there. And thanks for putting this thread together and getting the excitement started. I was already planning on coming when you started the thread, but this thread got me to actually finalize the arrangements.Great looking family!![]()
See you there!
kenspen That’s a great photo of you and your wife! That’s also a great looking bunch of knives Ken. You better be careful some of the ole knife traders in attendance might try to talk you out of some of them!

Will, my father worked for the L&N railroad for over 40 years. Being around railroad men can be quite an education for a young teenager. That’s exactly where I picked up a lot of my love for pocket knives. I also picked up a lot of knowledge and maybe a few things about trading or selling knives!Ha ha Ron! I suspect you may have a smooth line in charming knives off the trees yourself
A safe and pleasant journey for all of you lucky enough to be able to attend![]()
We always have a thread every year. We all need to remember to post all of your knives and any photos back to this thread. That way everyone who is not fortunate to be there in person can relive every thing that’s happening!Looking good Ken. I hope to be able to see you and your collection in person. It makes me happy to see my friends so excited, unfortunately I don’t expect to be there. I’ll sure miss y’all and the good folks at GEC.
All you traders watch out my friend Tom is on his way. Try to keep him reined in Charlie.

We pulled into Titusville this afternoon after a very enjoyable drive over from DC. We had spent the weekend with our daughter and grand dog! Since we came into town from a different direction than we normally do we were driving down 27 going right by the turn in to Great Eastern Cutlery. We decided to stop in and say hello and pay for our picnic meals. We talked to Christine and said hello to Bill in passing. They are all busy making things ready for everyone to have a great Rendezvous! This was what greeted us when we arrived! It looks sorta lonely now but it will be a happening place starting Thursday morning!
