That's why I think the bar shield works too.

I’m enjoying this process thoroughly. I’m also liking how the knife is shaping up in the polls.

I particularly like an earlier rendering showing bone with a bar shield. That spoke to me. It reminded me of pics of the 38 sfo’s done a few years back.

Question, I haven’t missed the reservation yet have I?

I agree this will need a shield. I have my preferences, but ultimately almost any shield will be better than none.

Hoping we can vote shield vs no shield first, and then if shield wins, vote for specific shield.

That's what I'm expecting. If there's 10 options, and 20% vote for no shield....that could beat out the 80% that want some sort of shield, if the votes are spread out.

Only if all the shield voters were tallied together against the no-shield voters.

Correct I suppose you would need to consider all shield votes...basically if the no-shield option doesn't get 50% or more of the total votes then we go with the shield that has the most votes. Each person is only going to vote for a shield or no-shield. Although now that I'm thinking out loud that won't give anyone who voted for no shield an opportunity to help pick the shield we do get (if shield wins).

I think it is worth polling twice—once for shield/no shield and then once with shield options if it wins. Gives the no shield folks a say and doesn’t clutter discussion. The polls are already shorter in duration.

What say you knifeswapper ? Were you planning it as one or two?
