Hopefully our knife will be a bit like an Alfred Williams Co. Navy Knife

You weren't alone. If a few can say it enough times in enough places, it seems like a movement. But, I assure you, where we can provide options - we will.

First,
Thanks for taking this project on Mike, very organized and well run!
I understand you only have options where you have options.

Not sure if I am reading this wrong or if there is a movement, but count me in on a different blade if we can force an option so to speak. Just about ANY different blade. We had a single Sheepsfoot blade already ̶r̶̶u̶̶i̶̶n̶ adorn one forum knife and personally I hope we don't do it again. Especially on a knife this big.

And honestly, don't we order enough knives to warrant building them with two blades to choose from?
I will admit I don't know if it changes any other aspect of the building process, but how hard could it be to build 200 or so with a Sheepsfoot and 200 or so with the a Clip or Spear?

If you read the whole thread, you will realize that what you propose is not an option.

If the first slabs poll will be simply:

bone vs wood vs synthetic

I'll probably vote bone initially. I will have no qualms changing to wood though, depending on any provided specifics, or to ensure synthetics doesn't win.

I really don't hate micarta or acrylics (there are some gems), but just prefer wood or bone a lot more in general. If synthetics are chosen, I really hope denim micarta or some other less common material is possible.

Oh, that's right. My feeble brain forgot. However, there was never a clip blade offered for the GEC knife and the blade for the GEC knife was shoved down our throat by the dealer and manufacture.
Nothing was "shoved down our throat." It was never going to be build-the-knife completely from scratch, and it was made clear early on. I thought you indicated recently you would stop complaining. My suggestion is to not buy the knife, not vote, not comment, and not watch the thread if you hate the knife so much. "Always with the negative waves, Moriarty." It's gonna be a mother-beautiful knife!

Oops. I slipped. And I never said I hated the knife. But I did say the saber ground sheepfoot blade was useless for slicing. And don't blame me. John brought it up.
