Since the majority vote looks like it is headed for the Orleans shield, I took a better look at
the reversed Orleans idea. The normal orientation does look the best fit between the pins.
That being said, I think the Orleans shield would look VERY COOL on CLASSY African Blackwood.

I like the Orleans Shield, but, I think the Orleans Shield looks too busy on the Ironwood.
If Ironwood wins, I may change my vote at the end of the poll to Diamond.
Edit : The Federal Shield would also look good on Ironwood.

I agree. Not a bad shield if we have to have one. (To me, shields are merely decorative and superfluous, but I know they are also traditional*, and can live with it. ).

*"No shield" is probably MORE traditional.

The Orleans shield with desert Ironwood is too much.. change to the diamond shield for a more balanced cleaner look.

I'm not as good as waverave at Photoshop. Here's the best desert Ironwood with Orleans shield I could do. It should look pretty similiar to this.

I like the diamond in general, but it would have to be elongated somehow to look right on this knife.

Oh, I understand many people love them. But they're not for me.

Love the diamond shield on the mock-ups - especially with AB as the material. To date, the only successful choice I voted on was the match strike pull. Not looking good for my shield choice based on tally to date. Voted AB for cover material - May pull out a win there. Going to be a sweet knife regardless and i’m Looking forward to the finished product in hand!
